The universe is expanding at an accelerating rate—or is it?

Studies in the 1960's seemed to indicate something odd. The universe wasn't only expanding, but the expansion was accelerating.

Attempts to explain this phenomena required a rethink of physics. From this effort the concept of "Dark Energy" was born.

A new, more refined study indicates that perhaps the universe isn't expanding at a accelerating rate after all. This might explain why all attempts to find "Dark Energy" have so far failed to reveal it.

Sometimes questions of science that are "settled" can come into question again. Just sayin...

Nothing in science is settled until the government says it is. :-)

I thought evidence of dark matter and dark energy had been found. Or was the universe too dark to see it?
