This what you get when you are percieved as a weak, lilly livered nation, and it will get no better. It does, though, seem to be a move to make people insecure, and so, go for Trump as a "strong leader" type, so is it Putin thinking he can make a move against a weak country, or is it Putin helping Trump by trying to scare everyone....

    Probably not, but her health issues could affect her decision-making abilities and make her an even bigger foreign policy risk than Trump.

    What does a bully do when he perceives he is dealing with a weakling and/or a coward?
    Whether its on a school yard or the playing field of international relations, it's all the same.

    Yup. Just like the press in this country supports and helps one political party. Keep the people uninformed and you can control and rule them.

    Indeed, a good observation. It just seems to act as if a prelude to war is coming is a rather draconian method of control. I do agree, Hitler did the same thing, Japan just went and did it.

    Neither, its manipulation of the Russian people by the Russian government controlled media. When people are afraid of outside forces they are more easily controlled by government. Has nothing to do with the US elections or politics. Russian people can be manipulated, just as Americans can be manipulated.

    The news serves two purposes.
    1. Show how weak your opponent is
    2. Build cohesion with uyour own country.
    Russia is good at doing both in time of crisis.
