The Preludes
A novel of a striver breaking out of frustration into his power. But here comes a magnificent woman, a distracting challenge right in the middle of everything. Perfect timing.

I am John Caedan, writer, composer, and Objectivist for many decades. During sojourn in life, this truth came to the forefront, gradually: I am an artist, and I must write the characters blossoming in my imagination. They always seemed to be having lunch with someone like Reardon, or focusing as intensely as Roark to get a project right, or becoming solid friends with a Dagny-peer.

My characters appear only in their own stories, of course. I would never touch Miss Rand’s characters or storylines.

I’d like to show you the results. My novel The Preludes, particularly, I recommend to your attention.

Thanks for looking in on my project. I hope to entertain.

Have you read any of Glenn Starkey's books? Steel Jungle was a guy's book but I learned a lot from it. Also Solomen's Men. Now he has a new book 'The Councilman". Since he is one, I wonder what he used as a guideline. Must call him after I read it.

A dear friend of mine taught English in China for a few years. He told some interesting stories about his visit there. He was chosen by a young lady to be 'Honorable Grandfather' at her wedding. He liked the people there.

If I want to read a good book, I write one. Just kidding you. What's the story line? I usually read descriptions (teasers) before I buy the book. Is it on Amazon? I can't be separated from my Kindle. The title is interesting.

You are emphasizing your character's connections with Rand-like protagonists.

What do they DO, on their own?

I am interested in discussing ideas and characters, and China as a secondary topic. The starting point can be your reaction to Lin Xin Qian and her background.

A number of people of China are not communists. Are they capitalists? Are they not fascists and shen yun?
