3 Men and a Movie (In the Gulch)

A couple of week ago Scott DeSapio posted an Atlas Shrugged movie review done by 3 Men and a Movie and we haven't been the same since. :) Their review was not only encouraging to those of us in the Gulch, but very entertaining as well. I'm not sure what it is about sitting around listening to 3 young men exchange their opinions about a movie, but it is interesting to watch, and listen to their thought processes. AND they crack each other up too. Anyway, I have an idea, just for fun how about we try and watch their next movie before they do the review (which I think is posted every Saturday, Roger correct me if I'm wrong). Their next movie is Equilibrium and it is currently streaming on Netflix. Maybe we can have Roger post a link to their reviews every week and then we can have our own discussions in the gulch, about their discussion. Anybody else interested?? :)

I recently watched this on Netflix - count me in. This is going to be a good one for a gulch discussion, as the setting of the movie is a dystopian future that arises when men try to suppress emotion so man is operating 100% on logic/reason.

Not sure their purpose or goal was logic or reason filled, but the emotions were definitely gone.

Yes - I agree. That little word "so" can cast a bad light on what I wrote. This isn't the "so" of purpose. Their motivation wasn't "logic good, so suppress emotion because it clouds logic". It was simply "emotion bad, suppress it". But, intentioned or not, the result was a society running on unclouded logic. They suppressed emotion, "so" in the end what ended up happening was man running on 100% unemotional logic.
