I commend the Texans, but this could quickly get out of hand and have the fedgov firing down on American citizens in defense of the illegals.

    That would likely feed right into the hand of the fedgov.

    However the call for militia has me contemplating a trip south.

      I agree. I think O has been scheming for some type of revolt so he can trash whats left of our rights by suspending the Constitution and extend his lOrdship indefinitely.

      At this point I too am tempted to shed or take blood for my nation.

          Robbie, AJ Ashinoff, and LetsShrug all seem to think that the border situation escalation seems orchestrated. I agree. This is the "Casus Belli" from Glenn Beck's The Overton Window. Buckle up. It's going to be a sick, twisted ride.

            Of course, it's been orchestrated. It's so easy to just say how inept this administration is and pass it off as just that stupidity - but they're not that stupid or inept. They know exactly what they're doing. It's just that we ( the mass) don't. I wonder how much of the land bordering Mexico is private land?

            They're projecting 90,000+ kids for this year alone.

    One of the few federal responsibilities is national border protection. If and when states send their own national guard citizen-soldiers to defend the border, the feds will order them to stand down.

      At this point the states might tell them no and ignore any stand down orders.

      Especially Texas and Arizona

        And when the do the Fed Gov will mobilize to make the States stand down. The opportunity for bloodshed is better than good. The end result, which I believe O and his puppet masters have been planning from well before he was elected, is to destabilize the US, impose martial law to suspend the Constitution, and then gut the Bill of Rights to forever change the US. O is doing this unopposed in government. I have to suspect O, the entire DNC, and much of the RNC fill their bank accounts from the same anti-American sources.

          If the fed was to try and mobilize to step in and force the states to stand down, They are going to wind up using "police" forces, meaning armed personnel from agencies, like ATF, border patrol, things like that.

          States calling up their guard would gut the deployable military forces at this point. Also the military has a solid sense of duty and honor, even if their commander in chief most certainly does not. Not sure there is much in country they could use that isnt part of the guard now.

          If that push came to shove, it would indeed be a bloodbath, and I don't know which side would start it.

          Although both sides should realize it would be the start of another civil war/revolution and would hesitate, hopefully enough to not start at all.

          I know which side I would be on if it happens though.

      The feds can't order the States to stand down; the National Guards, nee State militias belong to the States.

      And the 2nd Amendment kinda blows hell out of the whole "national border protection is a fed(ONLY) responsibility". The point of the State militias is to secure the sovereignty of the member republics. That would be either (primarily) from the feds or also from outside invasion until such time as an army of the United States could be *raised* (since we're not supposed to have a standing army...)
