Chris Matthews: "Looking Down Our Noses At The Tea Party Has Got To Stop"

Well, this is interesting.

So, either Tingles

A) Has seen the blatant lawlessness of this administration, one that he's been disgustingly in the tank for, and is trying to distance himself from it.

B) Believes the Cantor defeat is a sneak preview to a November blockbuster against this administration, one that he's been disgustingly in the tank for, and is trying to distance himself from it.

C) A & B

D) Believes the Cantor defeat was enabled by blow back from institutional mistreatment of the Tea Party and wants to "defang" them with insincere kindness.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Notice though, Tingles admits that the establishment looks down their nose at us.

Here's his motive: "We can no longer dismiss this crew as a fringe element. They are a clear and present danger, and we must meet them head-on!"

    Bring it on.

I have become so cynical about the Left, especially the media Left, my first assumption, always, is that I'm listening to a con artist. Examples include when Obama talks about creating jobs but all his "shovel ready" and infrastructure and education jobs are government jobs.

Perhaps Matthews is sincere. But I put that possibility low on my list of assumptions out of mere self defense.

No one who has paid any attention to his rants can observe Matthews as being anything but despicable. It would be unwise (a polite way of saying stupid) to credit him with anything positive. It's like the bully discovering that the kid he used to bully has worked out, become muscular and is now a threat. Though he has no legal power he still spews garbage that shores up the beliefs of those with unthinking or immoral agendas.

I think Tingles' hard ball has gone soft (along with his ratings) and he feels like he's losing his place. (Notice he didn't say Communism was bad, just that it didn't 'deliver to the working people'. Me thinks he doesn't understand that that is what Communism looks like. Empty promises that don't end well.) He's always been a boob and always will be a boob,...only now he's a boob with a leg that no longer tingles, apparently.

Does this mean the Tea Party won't be called "tea baggers" anymore? MSNBC talking heads were throwing that (then) obscure West Coast sexually descriptive term around a mile a minute when the movement emerged on the heels of Obama's first maniac stimulus package. No class Rachael Maddow really dug using that.

Tingles only has "respect" for the Tea Party when he is using it to beat up the Republican Party. Brat was not Tea Party and national TP orgs did not help him. But members of the local TP (i.e. Richmond) and a huge grassroot effort did it! Don't worry, when it comes time to beat up on the TP again, Tingles will.

You could always see BS on CBS. Now you can see it on MSNBC

When it comes to political commentary, MSNBC: Mathews should not be considered.

Reading that little piece by Chris Matthews, I had to verify several times just to believe it was actually something he said. When will he make his point that he doesn't really agree with any of their principles, that he was only making a point? "They're as American as any liberal is", is that really how he feels?

He'll say anything to get his miniscule ratings back up!

I would think that sooner or later MSNBC and a few others will have to make some real business decisions. Can a media like that make a living without any viewers? I used to watch them at least 10 minutes a day just to see what's going on over there. Now I don't even flick past them for fear of giving anyone the idea that someone might be watching. I guess my viewing habits are my interpretation of free enterprise. If no one watches they will eventually just shut down.

    E) Can't get his ratings up because he finally met his match as a liar in Jay Carney and Susan Rice. Of course the Liar in Chief has them all beat, but Chrisssy, cheeky girl, can never admit that or he will have to live in a canvas diving suit and bell for the rest of his broadcast career as it is more in the tank than he is for the Obama administration.
