A Brief Moment of Pride
I'm now in eleventh grade, and last year was my last chance to enter the Anthem essay contest. I did so several months ago and forgot until a few days ago, when the email came in.
Third place! (Granted there are 10 3rd place winners, but still cool.) Earned a pretty penny for my essay, and a free book. I chose The Fountainhead, to replace my torn up copy; the rest I already have.
Now it's time to tackle The Fountainhead essay. ;)

Oh how I wish that I could turn back time and be introduced to Ayn Rand's thoughts by age 15.
You are very fortunate.
May you have a brilliant, satisfying, and complete life.
But have you seen an allosaurus in Jurassic Park movie?
No-no-no!

Discriminated against!
Slighted in the worst kinda way!
Oh, boo-hoo-hoo!
Please share the essay here, we would LOVE to read it.
I think, next time I stay in Jurassic Park, I'll camp out in your paddock instead of the velociraptors. Last time was a fiasco.

We are here to mentor that process.
Keep up the good work.
I didn't know we had this kid in the Gulch!
A good kid. A smart kid.
A kid who does intelligent things she can be proud of.
We need more of those.
So does this country.
Sarah would be safe in my Jurassic Park paddock.
