I would not be surprised if Yaron is already familiar with AR's view on Ronnie. When asked around 1976 which Republican she favored for President, with Ronnie in the list of possibles, she said "RONALD REAGAN??!?" She presumably considered him to be primarily a Hollywood movie actor. She never did get a chance to see him become the best president since Coolidge.

The very fact that Brat openly admits that he admires A.R. alone puts him heads above most candidate. So he disagrees with aspects of her philosophy. In any case, I can't imagine him going along with any lefty or RINO unless he's a great actor. He probably will be pummeled pretty much within the beltway, but if he has a solid spine, he can overcome that and hopefully become a mentor to other congressmen and win their support by his example. All that if he wins. The next test is November and hopefully by then he's donned his armor and picked up his lance. He'll need them.

It seems that Yaron totally forgets Ronald Reagan. He did challenge communism based on morality.

I also don't think that AR is the ONLY thinker/author who is capable of bringing back the real American perspective. I think that Mark Levin from an intellectual perspective, Rush Limbaugh from an historical perspective (his new children's books on American history), and several Gulchers from a cultural perspective are also doing so.

More of the Milton Friedman school than Austrian school - so that goes against him (although I can accept Friedman over Keynes any day).

A really interesting take on the impact of AR on both sides of the political spectrum in today's America. Very hopeful description on the need that non-objectivist intellectuals and politicians feel to talk about AR, even if attacking her.
    Txs for posting.
