When the will of the people is to violate the rights of a minority, then the government can and should overrule them. That's the difference between a Republic and a pure Democracy.

The legislature will re-introduce it.
I still don't know how you can ban an oxymoron.
Next, judges will strike down bans on shetland ponies running in the Ketucky Derby, and cats pulling sleds...
