EU referendum: German and French to unveil European superstate blueprint post-Brexit

What Hitler had failed to accomplish....? Having family who was caught up in that mess, and other members who fought in both theaters of war, anything that had Germany amassing power makes me highly skeptical.

    Got to agree with AJ.
Many generations in Israel related to my grandma, and a cousin who made it here attest to suspicion of Deautschland uber alles.

I could see it with countries with a common language and cultures. But it doesn't work for countries with different languages and cultures...why does everything have to be the same? It Ain't gona happen.

The key to America was a common language and laws...that allowed different cultures to assimilate. But still...we are not a "multicultural" nation. We are One nation, One culture, that is made up of many.
It's too late to do that to Europe...besides we like the differences...things would be pretty boring otherwise.
This is what the European kakistocracy doesn't get or doesn't care...they just want to control the outcome of everything...and they are the LEAST qualified to do so...even if it was acceptable...and it NOT.

Next the Euro-statists will play the fear of Russia card to frighten the people into being serfs of Brussels (instead of Moscow.) Location of the slave master is not relevant to people who love freedom.
My guess is they will maneuver against Russia to play on Russian fear of invasion from Europe (since there is history to support that fear, i.e., Napoleon and Hitler.) Probably some form of trade sanctions against Russia will cause the Russians to limit gas sales and the winter will have Europeans shivering in the cold. That will lead to acceptance that Brussels is a lesser threat.
EU also has been supporting climate change repression of fossil fuels and coal will be a likely target. Poland in particular uses lots of lignite for power. I'd guess Poland will be a target.Germany may be rich enough to cut their coal use, but Poland is not.

In addition, the Groningen natgas field in the Netherlands (the largest in Europe) has recently decided to cut production due to seismic activity. that is expected to reduce output by 44% compared to two years ago.

This is craziness. The Brexit supporters won because they feared something like this would happen. Releasing this now is, in my opinion, is a serious miscalculation.

Hang on a minute. Wasn't the EU a Superstate in principal anyway. I see no difference, still loss of sovereignty and at the whip and whim of other nations who don't share your interests. What is the difference but a title?

Call it what you like, a federation, a cartel, a conglomerate or a gaggle of geese, they are still led by the head goose and the others have to follow.

France as heavily Fascist as Germany all along and yes they know the difference between national and internationals sociailism combined together is a scary thought. The idea would give pause to any of those little itty bitty countries.

My question to Europe (minus the non EU members and and exiters is simple. Why did you fight WWII? Sacre Blew mon ami I am a fascist too?

If EU member ship means giving up your rights why didn't you just move to Connecticutt?

This is going nowhere. I suspect we may see Marine LePen as the next French PM, and France will quickly exit the EU, rather than become a German lackey state. An Anglo-French union would be an interesting alliance that could attract other EU escapees as a welcome alternative, if the EU continues to try to bully its member states.

Germany isn't the Nazi empire it once was. They have taken that history very badly. It's to the point where PC is out of control there. This is the reason why the Muslim attack squads from New Year's were brushed off because 'they just are not aware of Western Culture outside of the Sharia ruled middle east'. And why the police were ineffective when confronted by these Muslims because they didn't want to be associated with Germany's past by actually apprehending these sexual assaulting thugs.

And I fear that because Germany is a powerful member within the EU, that if the EU were ever able to overcome the cultural differences between the members to form a federation, that they would spread this sickly PC culture across the continent to point that Europe will become a vast wasteland of Social Justice ineffectiveness to solve problems for its protection and wellbeing. And effectively demoting them from being first world to third world.

I do hope that Britain sticks to its guns and stays out of the EU. Why get sucked dry paying for the failed socialist states in the EU who take in all sorts of useless refugees when they dont have to. Look what happened to Germany. It wasnt good.

Both Russia and Germany are very aggressive societies who love to control people. Russia needs to keep taking over countries for its economy to stay alive. Germany just seems capable of existing on its own, BUT it loves power.

Let the two of them battle it out- Russia hates Germany and vice versa. They would never get together.

The last of the generation who experienced Nazism are dying out fast. I'm glad people see that that's no longer a danger.

I don't expect to see the whole EU federate. But France and Germany and a few others might, and it will be interesting if it happens.

The EU's economic trouble is certainly the result of lack of coordination at multiple levels of law. A federation might eliminate that problem, at least if it replaces the EU structure rather than being added to it.

I see Russia as a separate problem. Russia would probably really like to launch a war right now to take back the Warsaw Pact. I wouldn't want to provoke them by rattling the saber, but I would want to quietly prepare by putting NATO troops in Poland and Hungary, if we're going to continue to have NATO. The best outcome to the Russian situation is that we outwardly ignore them and isolate them until their empire falls apart again from its own economic failure, breaking into a dozen or more states.

As for climate change and environmental law, I think that war has pretty much been won in the court of public opinion. Let the Europeans go through a winter without enough fuel to heat their homes, and they'll do something about it before the next winter.

Here is a brilliant, well informed, and very funny article by Christopher Monckton.

" dictatorship in the formal sense. Good riddance to it. ..
It is no accident .., that the bankers, the corporate profiteers, the Greens and the National Socialist Workers’ Party of Scotland – the corporatists and the communists together – made common totalitarian cause and heavily promoted the campaign to keep Britain in the EU, that paradise of vested interests and their poisonous lobbyists."
    " Obama’s intervention was decisive. "

    Monckton ends with,
" Thank you, America, and God save the Queen! "

Years ago I predicted something like this.

I also predicted that in any worldwide federation, Britain would still pay its part--as the lead country--or "province"--of the Commonwealth of Nations. In other words, the Commonwealth of Nations would rival the European Union in standing in a one-world federation.
