"Celebrate! It’s remarkably good.

“Atlas Shrugged Part II” is not just a pale shadow of the novel. It is a solid adaptation.

In today’s Hollywood, one could not imagine any major studio producing it. The major studios, much like the character of James Taggart in the film, fear being disliked. They especially fear antagonizing the Left—among whom are the vast majority of actors and directors. Clearly, Harmon Kaslow, John Aglialoro and Jeff Freilich, the independent producers of this movie, have no such fear.

When would you expect to hear a hero in a mainstream Hollywood film say, “The public good be damned!” –or, for that matter, when would you expect a factory owner or corporate head in a major studio’s movie to be a person of moral integrity rather than a villain? I would suggest, not soon.
