Women may in fact be the only hope for mankind.

Since the western world and its democracies, the Catholic, or any other Christian church for that matter no longer seem a bulwark against Islam, it may be that women will be the last saving grace of freedom for the human race. (You reading this BambiB?)

I agree. Bush has much to answer for.

The Patriot act is an atrocity also. Of course it should be noted he did have a sunset provision which Obama summarily disregarded. Still, it has provisions that never should have seen the light of day.

true, but if President Bush's Sarbanes Oxley had not passed, there would have been other opportunities for all that investment to have gone into. 311 avg companies went public prior to passage of that bill-after, the avg is 1/3 that number-102. Part of the problem had to do with the financial tools they were using, the "bundling" etc in response to the directives from Sens Frank and Dodd to extend bad mortgages, but if there had been more opportunities in the market, that money wouldn't have only chased housing. my opinion anyway

    Yes!

Historically Presidents get the credit or blame for whatever happens during their term, regardless of actual responsibility. A prime example is when Bush received the blame for the housing bubble bursting when democrats like Dodd and Frank were really much more culpable.

We are on the same page!

Did you know that Clinton fought the Welfare Reform Bill tooth and nail? And that he vetoed it twice, before the Congress had enough votes to overturn his veto, if he invoked it the third time?

Clinton actually apologized for signing it as he wielded the pen in the Rose Garden, and promised to find a way to reverse it.

Now, he takes credit for Gingrich's work.

I understand. As long as those single parent households are run by women who do not own their own futures but are slaves to the government largess, our present state will continue.

We must shutoff the spigot like Clinton did regarding Welfare reform.

Time is the problem. Since the status quo is destined for collapse, it will happen one way or another, sooner or later. I prefer to pull off the bandaid quickly.

I may not live long enough to see the correction, but once enough women become their own masters, there will be no stopping them.

I agree, presently the numbers are against us. I only hope it is not too late to demonstrate a better future through self confidence and reliance, but a catastrophe may be necessary to remove the blinders... a daunting prospect indeed...

The majority of single mother households are run by the government...whatever freebies they can get...which raises the children to expect entitlements...which only serves to the grow government.

The statistics for single parent households are becoming epidemic, and the majority of those households are run by women.

I follow your thinking, but I am afraid that the numbers are against us.

Many generations of women were denied equal property rights. Now that this is changing, I expect many more independent women of present and future generations to adopt different, less collectivist/ democratic policies. When more women own property and businesses they will naturally object to gov't mandated redistribution.

In some ways I agree with you. I love strong opinionated women. I have seen big brutish guys shutdown by petite women speaking boldly the truth, while men sat idle content to let the knuckle dragger spread nonsense.
Without women, men alone will not correct our current direction.

"Without women, men alone will not correct our current direction."

    So true!

Without any women, us guys get one generation, and one generation only, to 'get it right'! ;-)

Seriously, though...I agree with your post!

    Exactly.

She is fighting for more personal freedom within her religion, not against the religious tenets that threaten us.

She may live to see this freedom, but that will not save us infidels....

She is very brave but she's not a bulwark against islam. She is still clinging to her religion that places her as chattel.
