Lynn Swann and "Who is John Galt"

Lynn Swann has lived in and been a customer of ours for many years now. If you are not a football fan Lynn Swann is a Hall of Fame wide receiver who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970's. He recently accepted the Athletic Directors job at USC and will be moving to California. I asked if he was at a press conference and someone asked a question he didn't want to answer to just say, "Who is John Galt?". I explained why and he got a good laugh out of it. He said he will try and remember to say it. Hope he does. That would be cool.

Nice one Rich, well done, I hope he says it.

I've got one for you that happened to me just 2 weeks ago. I received a call from a headhunter who saw my resume on Dice and when she announced who she works for, I burst out laughing over the phone, she said, she works for John Galt Staffing. I had to ask her to confirm and she said yes, what's so funny? I replied "nothing, but I've read Atlas Shrugged and think it's funny that to other people who have no idea about AR would ask 'who is John Galt'? She laughed too and confirmed that it does happen regularly. I laughed some more when she told me that.

Quoting colleges is a form of hate speech. Assuming it's intelligible enough to be understood.
I would guess.....hmmmm....about four letters long?

I actually was a little concerned that they might get upset but then again he is an alumni. Quoting Rand is probably considered hate speech anywhere in California.

They'll probably fire him for using "hate" speech. Is't that what colleges do, now days?

Rich, what a really cool thing to do. Whether he does it or not that is great presence of mind.

He was poetry in motion. Glad to hear he is doing well. He was an inspiration to me when I was young.

Lynn was an investor in a neighbors sporting goods store and I used to see him in the neighborhood a lot. This was during his playing days and I was amazed at how small he was to be out on the field with giants.
