I have read comments over the years about AR that proclaimed she was a Communist shill, that she was a Fascist, that she wasn't really of Jewish descent, that she was as dominatrix, etc., etc. If people either write, speak or believe that crap they are beyond redemption and not worth paying attention to.

He is refering to an individual serial killer who Ayn heard interviewed.
He said that he allowed the pain from his childhood to "only go so far down" (in other words: He didn't "feel").
Ayn said that she admired the trait of not allowing pain to consume you. She didn't "adore a serial killer".

so I confirmed that no footage was shot for ASII in natl parks. However, there was some stock Natl park footage used and some footage from AS I which was filmed in a natl Park. It's important to point out, you must get special permits and permission to film in a natl Park and you pay to film there. No different than private property in that way.

what info did he have that we didn't have? the movie was not shot in a national park(s). It was shot (the Gulch) on private property, city streets, a train yard, a lot, and a train station. All locations had to be paid for as far as I know. I'll ask and get back to you on that.

Exactly. Looks like he left that same comment on most of the replies. I saw a comment about how ironic it was that the movie was shot on National Parks and that without Government they wouldn't exist. Arguing with idiots...
