    You also noticed this?

I view all of the parties, golf, trips, etc. as a payback that Obama feels entitled to, since he is of color. Sort of a slavery reparations thing (never mind that his family history was outside of our borders). He is going to live 'large', regardless of what we think or are doing without.

The more that we complain, the more that he likes it!

OK. We can agree on that.

I wonder when AF1 is going to be converted to green. Between him and igor they use enough fuel for a small state.

We are on the same page, about the 'unwashed masses'...but electric car buyers are usually high enough in the food chain to weigh all the impacts of their purchase.

I submit that they are determined to satisfy the self-image massage they crave, and only search far enough to bolster their decision. And most articles, to date, have not told the whole story. Remember that this administration wants us driving these 'green' cars.

I disagree. How much digging does it take to know how electricity is made? That's been around for 100+ years. Reason would say that something that uses electricity requires the production of that electricity.

I was speaking of the electorate in general though, not just in regards to the mysticism of ecology. Why do you think the fools on the hill can spend a lifetime up there? Not from an informed electorate that's for sure.

    Your equation is correct.

But...as the article points out, this information wasn't always out there for many political. and monetary, reasons. I am not sure that any amount of 'digging' would have been of help up to now.

On top of that, my impression of these purchasers is that they are self absorbed with their own image, and would not pay any attention to the 'dark' side of the debate.

Low information voters are not well intended. If they are to lazy to get the facts and make a choice based on reason then they shouldn't be voting. It makes no difference the side either. A=A. Stupid & lazy=stupid and lazy.

40% of US electricity is coal. That percentage is higher in the east. Electric cars run on coal. Don't blame the low information voter. They are well intended.

Not greener and the price, distance the vehicle can travel between charges makes them impractical for many. I wouldn't pay $100K for a car period.
