I Just have to think this is only something that could be called "An Idiot goes Abroad and meets his dream society" Castro basically says "Go Home Yankee" and the WH calls this a "success". All they had in common was a desire to take everything and do what they want with it.

"“No one should pretend the people of this noble and selfless country give up its glory and rights,” [Castro] wrote."
He's literally saying pepole should be selfless so as not to give up the glory and rights of the country. I guess that's true. If people asserted their selves and their rights, it would take away from the state.

Fidel's entire power structure is built upon conflict with the US. Without such conflict his mask it torn off. The people will say, "Wait...I have been living out of a monthly shipment on my doorstep of a little cardboard box, seen my outspoken countrymen thrown in prison, got eaten alive by mosquitos because there's no bug spray, and drove a donkey to the bodega all because this guy was opposed to America? Why-I-oughta!!!..."

Our current Present is that the Communists used to call a "Useful Idiot" The libs used to berate Bush 2 for being a clueless nitwit.....While he had his faults Bush was a sharp guy. Obama is the arrogant rube that the libs always used to accuse Bush of being.

Bush 2 at least stood up and did what government is really for (defending the borders) even when they are not always clear. Obamama just asks what race the dead were and ignores it.

Here's the story. Instead of cutting his trip short in the wake of Brussels the lounge lizardflew on to Argentina and was dancing with some students (of what we don't know) reportedly once with his wife and meandered back to DC where he was quoted as saying - ho hum anything happen?

All true except the last part...but it would make a great cartoon. Best part he was not in DC screwing up things any worse than normal.

    I do love irony.
Obama toadies up to Raul, and in return, brother Fidel treats him properly -- just like a toad. He doesn't want out help? Great! Let him continue with his falling-down buildings, poverty and 1940s vintage cars. But that won't happen. We'll make them prosperous whether they like it ot not! Well, at least Trump is right in this respect, we let despots treat us like schmucks thanks to the good offices of the current administration.

ROFLMAO -- How many of the trip's highlights actually match episodes of "An Idiot Abroad"? I'd bet the correlation is staggering! I have to ask because I never actually watched the show, but the trailer spots for the series were inescapable.

I'm still a fan along with all of Mexico of not committing a faux pas gaffe by ordering a Cuba Libre. In Mexico it's just a Cuba. In places like Miami 8th street area it's una Mentira. Same reason porque Cuba no es libre. But then they weren't prior to Castro either. After a while one dictator is pretty much like another all left wing fascists

Think of your local espresso shop if Americanos were called Americano Libre. What you thought we were exempt?

Another little story is why Canadians are against the USA lifting sanctions with Cuba. Because everywhere Gringos go the prices shoot through the ceiling and Canadians would lose their cheap winter vacation mecca. My tongue was not in my cheek that was a serious statement.

Reminds me of a something I experienced. When my wife and I were dating we took a vacation to the Miami area, then to Bahamas. This was many years ago and I remember how I was entertained taking in the Cuban influence. One of the main facets of that influence was the poor work ethic. Haha... There were many examples. But, my favorite might have been when we entered a coffee shop. My wife wanted a mocha. They said they didn't serve those. So, she asked if they serve hot chocolate. They said "yes". "So...I'd like a large empty cup, a hot chocolate and a coffee please." She just mixed them together and we headed out.

One of the reasons historical culture makes things easier for or for the prevention of government control. Not meant as bigot statement but the all pervading influence of the Catholic (meaning universal) church works against success outside that dictated by the mystics. The Latin America countries and Mexico is first that curtail and control the power of the church do better than those under stricter control. Switching to culture there is the macho effect which states one must prove virility by having a ton of children even though they will be raised sick, uneducated and poor.

Where I live I see the opposite notion taking root more and more. Coupled with the lack of work ethic by the men is a growing work ethic by the women who often are the head of the household since the men have left to prove their machoism elsewhere.

This is an incomplete observation but has resulted in women rising in politics and in other areas and fueled by obtainable education.

There was one question maybe two that had Castro baffled when he asked Obama?

How the hell do you manufacture nine billion dollars out of thin air and where does the hand out line start?

Sorry doesn't work in placed with people who stop and think about it....

    Damn!

Good question to ask from us as well. How the hell do they think they will ever pull this off? None of the candidates but Trump has addressed their looting habit, and magical money machine politics. It will end badly for us, which is the only reason I would vote for Trump. I don't see it as being an issue because he will be crushed from both sides here shortly, they are already pushing the "polls say" thing, and te "Trump is losing in Wisconsin" now. The fix is in...

Of course Trump has never done particularly well in Wisconsin. He's been ahead in polls a couple of times but not by a lot and others have led as well. Cruz has a good chance of picking up Wisconsin.

After that things don't look very good for Cruz. Unless Trump's support completely collapses -- and nothing has done that yet no matter how many times he's said something that everyone jumps on as "the thing", Trump's 269 delegate lead will prove too much for Cruz to make up. Whether Trump hits the convention with 1237 committed delegates is really the only question.

Yes, you seem to have summed it up. They are making a big deal of Wisconsin, but the bigger deal will be the convention and the National Committee efforts to knock him out.

The arrogance of both thinking they are right manifests in the same kind of spats between the fallen idiots of the book of Enoch...as it played out even in the lamestream it is obvious neither has a mind, a conscience nor any significant amount of gray matter.

Pretty much sums it up, except the Obamanation came off the worse for it. Castro has always been a bit looney, but OB looked like he was just sucking up, even in the face of the Brussels attack.

Fidel Castro is a pig, and Obama just embarrassed the USA and himself by going there. We have nothing to gain by dealing with Cuba. Let them enjoy the fruits of their socialism in their dark, cold tents. I am sure Obama promised them billions of OUR dollars too. Obama is an idiot, along with the rest of the establishment. Vote Trump to see if we can undo the nonsense the establishment has brought on us.

Trump isn't the only one who thought visiting Cuba was a mistake by Obama. As I remember Rubio and Cruz were against visiting Cuba also. Too bad you don't understand 4 yrs if trump would be better than hillary

Trump is certainly the best of a bad lot at this point. Although I have serious doubts he will survive to the election. The Republicrats will find a way to oust him and put their own puppet in place. He will run as a 3rd party candidate and if smart, will tailor his rhetoric to focus on several specific issues that are hot button, rather than meander around having a conversation with himself.

There is a lot of establishment resistance to trump and they may find a way to oust him from the Republican nomination. I think it's stupid for them to ignore the voter support he has, and if they continue down this path it will cost them the election. I can c trump going independent if he can, and get a percentage of votes in the general election. Perhaps Sanders will go independent too and that might prevent Hillary from getting *270 electoral votes. As long as Hillary is ousted one way of another it's a good thing for the country

Now therin is the quandry, and I think whoever is really pulling the strings here, has determined HillaryBeast is the one, and only, next president. Based on all the crazy crap that has gone on, there is no doubt that this is a contest of manipulation, and I cannot see how many of the players know they are being manipulated, or even care. But I believe none of it will be something for us as independent, thinking people, to like.

I agree that behind the scenes, in smoke filled rooms, deals are being made among the power brokers. This is one of the things that makes me angry over our government and leads me to vote for trump. I want him to shake up the system and bring to light what's going on. I would agree that it's a contest to manipulate the voters and eliminate the anti establishment candidates. That means produce hundreds of superdelegates out of thin air to eliminate Sanders, and discredit trump. The repubs have a problem. Cruz might apologize to the RNC and agree to be a party line bitch in the future in exchange for the nomination. But if he doesn't, the repubs have a real problem in dealing with trumps popular support. There are no other candidates who can win against Hillary. Rubio, their darling, is gone. Kasich is too plain Jane to win. Romney made a play, and maybe they would go with him or Paul Ryan. I started to watch cnn's. Series. Race to the white house. It details past elections behind the scenes manipulations. The whole thing is crooked .

Exactly. In fact I was discussing this issue with another person tonight, and I am not sure if people realize that the control issue has been with us for thousands of years going back to Sumer and Egypt. There has always been some secret group behind the public facade, who had their own agenda, and it never worked out for the common person. perhaps another topic of discussion...

I am not really a conspiracy person, but I am thinking more and more that us citizens are being manipulated by hidden power brokers for their benefit. Thats why Trump is getting so much heat- he has openly opposed them and they are pissed off.

Well, I do not mind being called whatever they want. There is just so much evidence, and never any good, concrete explanations. That is why I know Hillary Beast is bad, and a liar and a felon. She does not defend with facts or truth, she diffuses with "the vast right wing conspiracy" and "i am being persecuted" crap. The Obamanation is identical, and so many other "conspiracies" are called that byt he same people who either do not want to know the truth, or are expressly hiding it, and doing the old "false flag" and counter propaganda tricks. It is clear someone, somewhere's (and I don't claim the same group or person) has been behind the scenes for mellinia now, and humanity has allowed it, proving we are indeed as PT Barnum described.

I agree with you. I never understood about Bush going to war because of wmd in iraq but they could never be found somehow. And then there was the hijacked flight 93 that strangely crashed after the passengers overcame the terrorists to prevent it from hitting its intended target. ( I think the govt shot it down,). Amazing how there was so little wreckage !! There's always things like baby shoes and small item that survive a crash. No engine parts. Just very strange

And then there was the ,757 crash into the Pentagon where there was a perfectly round hole in the building. We never saw even parts of sheared off wings or engines outside. Where did they go?

Term, now you are really scaring me with you conspiracy theorist attitude...Everyone knows our government is for the people by the people and of the people. As long as those people are in the right party, their right social status, get invited, and donate a lot. Call me sarcastic...I am so fed up with those idiots...like a runaway train and the emergency brake handle is hanging in my hands...
