I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch..I'm a 68 years old guy who has seen a lot of change in our country. I don't mind helping out the other guy/gal once in a while because I have needed help at times. The way I see it if someone can't take care of themselves then their family should help them out. If the family can't help then the local community can step up and help. The federal government has not been given any right by our constitution to manage my retirement planning or healthcare.
On the other hand having billionaires pay 11% income tax and having strong lobbying influence on our elected officials is not right either. I'm happy to be here and looking forward to conversing with like minded individuals. If you don't agree with me that's O.K. I like a good debate.

I think that Rand conjectured that the "bad guys"
would suffer a heavy setback as a result of the national
decline without the producers. . but the "might makes right"
crowd deserves serious defense by all producers.
private means are far more effective than government,
so Rand would have thought of private security firms
keeping the bad guys down, indefinitely, in my opinion. -- j

I am anxiously waiting for part three of the movie to come out. Maybe I missed something, but I thought the book had a too simple solution. After everything fell apart who would enforce our constitution so the bad guys simply would not start up where they left off? I'd like to read your thoughts.
