I found a very interesting book the other day at, or all places, Cracker Barrel. The title is The Patriots Reference. I contains documents, speeches, sermons etc. from the time of the Mayflower Compact to a speech by Noah Webster. There are many people included that most have never heard of. Men like James Otis (one of the founders of the Sons of Liberty)
The period from 1750 to 1814 is my particular aera on interest. Most of these documents etc. fall in that period so I find it particularly interesting. Anyone with an interest in history should also
