CNBC Reports:

"Stopping overpopulation is one way the dangers of climate change can be mitigated, according to two of the most prominent believers in global warming.

Former Vice President Al Gore and Microsoft founder Bill Gates said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that contraception is a key in controlling the proliferation of unusual weather they say is endangering the world."

I'm mostly indifferent towards Al Gore. This article just kinda rubbed me the wrong way by repeating old nonsense that other people have said about Bill Gates.

I don't doubt for a second that what you say about Bill Gates is true.

Frankly, I 'm sick of the lying parasitical power mongers like Al Gore using people like Bill gates to advance his pocket lining BS.

I'm also sick and tired of the dumb and ignorant people who have fallen for it

I don't know about Al Gore, but I do know that Bill Gates' statements had nothing to due with climate change.

Bill Gates simply said that if people in Africa had better access to disease preventing medicines, such as vaccines, then they wouldn't feel the need to have such vast numbers of children. Populations with high infant and child mortality rates generally compensate by having more children to overcome the vast numbers that inevitably die before reaching adulthood. With better healthcare, fewer children die young, and so parents don't try to have nearly so many. When this happens, the population levels begin to drop.

Frankly, I'm sick and tired of dumb and ignorant people trying to twist Bill Gates' statements around and make it sound like he was advocating something terrible, when all he really wanted was to eliminate disease in Africa.
