Automatic Windows 10 installs begin but how easy are they to stop?

Well, if you really don't want to accidentally suffer through the huge download, you better make sure you don't have automatic updates selected... One has to wonder why they are so aggressively trying to ram this down the collective throat of users. Maybe they really are making Google size money on selling your data?

freedom, thanks. I was reading an article I found last night showing how you can try Linux and the guy had Cinnamon 2.4 for his desktop (I guess they have a lot of flavors of desktops you can use). It actually seemed a lot easier than when I played with Linux in class, where I got quickly overwhelmed by "tarballs" and other strange terms they were using. Seems like some of the Linux groups have made some really simple methods available. I wonder how their drivers for devices fare... I am getting really dismayed with the amount of energy MS is putting into forcing this issue. Apparently they believe they will direct you to where they want you to be and make money off ads and redirects.

Just advance to Win 7 and avoid the entire issue.

Better yet switch to Linux and use Win 7 in a virtualBox for any Win apps you can't live without. Sign up for a VPN to help protect your identity while online. Encrypt for more secure transmission.

    Strike!
