I love the guy!

Sowell is always; quick, concise, clear and powerful in his statements. If only we had more who would actually listen.

Dr. Sowell is one of my heroes. He is a treasure-trove of truth.

The first definition on merriam-websterw.com for parasite is: "a person who exploits the hospitality of the rich and earns welcome by flattery."

I think it only goes half way. Soon they cease using flattery, and start using force.

this reminds me of the old great comedy routine by Bob Newhart called "The Last Taxpayer". In which a government employee tries to convince Bob on the phone to keep paying his taxes as he is the last one still paying and the whole country will collapse without him. I think of it every time someone else tries to stick their hand in my or my company's pocket without providing any value in return.
