"I read Atlas Shrugged. I loved it, thought that the arguments were well made, well reasoned, and none the less dead wrong. I wanted to show why."

His next book that "proves" Atlas Shrugged is wrong could be called "Air Thief" where individuals are forcefully punished for daring to use planetary air to breath, which is all owned by the big evil mega military corporation monopoly. Only a majority voting for a different government monopoly collective can save the world from these "producers."

Well, that's very good of you to read it for yourself. I thought about doing the same thing, but threre's so much to read, that I feel robbed when I run into a book that is horrible, like I had time stolen from me. I am glad I didn't. I'm happy to hear the bit that you wrote about it.

It's hard to refute the truth. So you'll probably have to wait for 200 more years until new truths are discovered which require modification of the old themes. Because Atlas can't be disputed, only rejected out of evasion.

Thanks for the tip on the book.

I started reading it last night. So far, it's just... horrible. I don't mean that in the sense of "Oh no! Someone is rebutting Ayn Rand!" I mean it in the sense that the writer is just bad and the editor, even worse.

I would love to read a solid counter - I just haven't been able to find one in the past 20 years. Anyone?

It's 248 pages, and it's a brilliant rebuttal of 'Atlas Shrugged.' The John Galt speech is almost that long. He has a nice group of reviews on the Amazon site, but for a chance to take a shot at Atlas, I'm sure they weren't hard to get.

That's quite a contradictory sentence. I wonder if his book reads as eloquently.
