Turns out my Sig Sauer P938 "pocket pistol" is included. I had no idea.

Our daughter and son-in-law both just purchased the 9mm, external safety Shield, and they like them. (Mrs. Animal and I gave them paid CCW classes for Christmas.)

I'm still happy with my Glock 36. It's a reliable, compact fistful of .45 caliber trouble. For outdoor woods-bumming purposes I'll stick with my big Smith & Wesson 25-5. I like the .45 Colt. It's big enough for serious work without all the flash and bang of the .44 Magnum.

What I like about my Sig is that it comes with a pocket holster that at first glance can look like a wallet and,can be carried with a chambered round and with a hammer at full cock guarded by a safety that is on.
Should there be an emergency, all I have to do is thumb down the safety, aim and pull the trigger..
I considered the Shield and other strikers but decided I wanted a hammer with a safety combo.

Thanks for sharing. I recently handled a S&W Shield that a buddy owns. Nice little gun. May have to pick one up for the ranch...

pYarygin with threaded barrel in one of the Grach versions intrigues me but....

The good old M1911A1 in .22/.45 with threaded barrels or the Ruger in similar caliber gives a choice of knockdown or scalpel surgery and doesn't wake up the neighborhood. Depends on the area of the world and the ammunition supply.

Not for occasional or REMF use.
