The Shocking Truth About Unemployment In America In One Chart

I've always wondered how "unemployment" numbers were calculated. Also, if anybody knows, is there any charts or graphs that show the relationship between unemployment and welfare numbers, how they're related or not related.(Cause and effect...)

IF ANY Jobs are actually being Created, they are Creating them in China etc, not here.

I think it depends on which party controls the agency. Have you noticed that when the new numbers come out there is always a much lower number in the revised count that is released a week or two later?

  What I've noticed is how they keep toting the amount of jobs that have been created (which is chump change in real terms, but most people don't that and think it sound like a big number), but they don't ever focus on how the actual amount of employed Americans is not increasing. And how the number of people on food stamps is growing leaps and bounds as if that isn't a significant statistic.

    Right. I just spoke to a lady who's son and his wife had to move in with her. They both got laid off. The woman was laid off as well and her husband's wages don't cover all expenses. Foreclosure is in the near future for them.

      That's terrible. Something isn't right that's for sure, but B.O. is patting himself on the back for having the lowest unemployment rate since he took office. Blaht!

        Near 50% of voters are patting BO on the back as well, if you can believe the polls. I'll wait for the revised numbers, but I'll never pat BO on the back.
