Who is John Galt on my car

A while back I wrote "Who is John Galt" on my car windows. The snow has weathered it a bit but you can still see it. Looks "Atlas Shrugged". Yesterday I saw a middle aged man and a high school girl walk over and read it. Wonder what they were thinking???

I work in the Peoples Republic of Boulder (a moniker that the denizens of boulder proudly proclaim.) I have "Who is John Galt" bumper stickers on both my cars (black with white lettering on the black car and white with black lettering on the white car so it looks like it was written directly on the car.)
A few days ago I was at the car wash when I noticed two attendants closely perusing the sticker. I got out of the car and they were looking for contact information. I gave the LS's cards and the said they would check it out. You never know where you might find a fellow traveler!

Good day all. This is a nice conversation. Back in the 70's when I read AS and attempted to enter into a conversation with others about the message of AS, I was met with an "who are you talking about, what are you talking about" The best reply I received was that is a great love story! The only way I see it as a love story is love of ones self. I remember wondering how long it would take before I met anyone who read the book and got its message. While we in the Gulch may not think like clones we do get the message. We share a desire for truth and justice.
I have the privilege to share with others due to the film. It is nice when others go watch part l and ll, then come back to ask questions. It is like watching a light turn on in the dark. They get it. Now the time for real change is at the door, waiting.

...just as an added "I wonder when"......I have now worn the Atlas Shrugged hat reading "now, non-fiction" for about 4 months. Not ONCE, so far, has anyone asked me "What does that mean"? This includes running races with more than 2000 people in attendance.....watching & racing!!!!!!!!!

I recommend you to begin sharing with others the message of AS. I do not know where you live but here where I live, a great deal of the people know each other. Sort of like gossip hotline's running from home to home. When one gets news that interest them or not at times, they make sure it spreads. Small town America gotta love it. Not sure what is going on with no one asking you. In my small town many people know me. When people do not ask me, I ask them.

Great! Get a conversation going. At some point the sheeple will realize something is seriously wrong. We have to be ready to explain and tell them what needs to be done to fix this mess.

I have no fear of hard work. My question is what form of labor will it take? When do we begin?

It has begun. You are part of the beginning in letting people know about the films and being right there and present when they come back to ask questions. And very soon you can play an intregral role in getting people into the nearest theater to see Who Is John Galt.

I have always said the one thing all politicians fear is a voter who is paying attention. We have to get the right people elected and then watch them like a hawk.

While I agree that this a beginning, I also do not believe in our present form of government. Was it not back in the late 1800's that they decided to take apart big business for what reasons? Their fear that should they not please those with money those with money would get rid of them. So long as those men were building America it was okay. Soon as they had more money, those in government and those with their sights on becoming a member of the government saw those men as bad, a threat. How is it different today? It isn't. Only now our government has become so large that we the people cannot afford to pay them. Their poor decisions economically have brought us to where we are. No matter who we vote in once in they do nothing. If I ran my business the way they run this country I would not be in business for long.
I do not believe they actually fear the voters as they once did. The electoral vote is the one they fear and lets face it they too come at a price. Do away with the electoral vote and then the vote of the people will become something to fear.

Several years ago I had a "Who Is John Galt?" bumper sticker on my car, and a few people in this liberal community "got it." Later I had my own bumper sticker made that simply said "Let's Shrug", with a tip of the hat to our member in Argentina, and no one has asked about it. Guess I went too far!

I wear my 20th Century Motors hat around often, especially when traveling. Every once in awhile someone says something indicating they understand. Nice to run into random AS fans all over the country.
