I signed onto smbc-comics.com this morning, and found that they had an Atlas Shrugged motif comic today.

They totally missed it if they think invoking the name of John Galt is an excuse for non-production.

I think that the first thing that struck me when I saw this was, "It's working!" I think that the increased visibility of Rand's work may be due to the recent movies. Insofar as 'missing the point' is concerned, the mysterious "Who is John Galt" phrase that haunts us throughout Atlas Shrugged is exciting, but I think that unless you have a particular philosophical bent it is unfathomable. If you do not have that bent, then the phrase does seem to be a random utterance. It is interesting, and perhaps significant, that an online comic, the creator of which evidently does not get the meaning of the phrase (or who could be mocking it) is finding Rand visible enough to make her work the topic of a daily comic.
