The lady who gave IL citizens concealed carry

This week, for the first time since 1968, citizens in IL began to receive Concealed Carry Licenses. The very first ones were received on Saturday 3/1 and I was by all signs, one of the very first. As thrilled as I was to get this I must acknowledge the person who made it possible. this day would have never came had it not been for one lady.
In every movement there is a icon, a martyr or a hero. IL now has joined the other citizens of our country with a legal path to concealed carry. I'd like you to take a few minutes to listen to her story, feel her pain and know why we are rejoicing today with her since she has a Illinois concealed carry License.
Her strength as the long court battle proceeded gave us all hope that one day we would be able to freely exercise this right. That one day all of us would be free to defend ourselves against the gangs of criminals who are never concerned about running into a armed victim. After the initial euphoria of getting my License, this lady was the first person I thought about after I calmed down and while I've met her, I don't know her well enough to contact her personally. So as a small thing I can do, I want to share with you the story of one of my heroes. A lady who proved that you can fight "city hall", and win.

In our church, most of the men and several of the women have carried during serviced since there was a shooting in another church during services a few years ago. It always was legal to carry on private property with the owners permission.
We all have written permission to load and carry on the church grounds. We won't be sheep led to slaughter. Now that loading and unloading in the parking lot won't be necessary.
One thing we made certain was in the CC law was that churches were areas where we can carry unless the owners post it as a GFZ. If they want it that way, they are going to be forced to mark themselves with the GFZ sign.
