It is the attire that is common with the walmart shoppers that I am referring to in this case. Not in public please... I know many guys who would think otherwise...
OK! Do you want me to send you some pictures of those infamous Walmart shoppers???... No... I don't think so... LOL Well, that is what beer is for. DK doesn't think a six pack is enough for the seniors he might encounter, but I forgot to tell him he can hold two cans over his eyes and pour them in there. It helps immensely. :)
lol. I think we are referring to different entities by the word "they." Where the 3D food comes in, I am not sure. Here is an article on point. http://www.economist.com/node/14743589
I do not disagree. I am as surprised as you are. I think we are having a misunderstanding. All I am trying to say, apparently very badly, is that they are not producing enough food or other products to trade for food and using technology to change their paradigm, that they continue the cycle of reproducing, living at subsistence level by this means, generation after generation. Of course cheap child labor can't compete with technology. They continue to reproduce but don't produce excess. I don't mean just food. Would they not have a better life if they had to feed fewer mouths and adopted other methods of security? I am not suggesting they are simply breeding themselves into poverty... I think I have just been unclear... I have examined the above and I’m in agreement with the study you cited. I don’t care if the third world eats 3-D food. Those despots you speak of will likely control the machines won’t they? I don’t want them here. Ref. video, No! That is when the rats start to cannibalize. Befuddled...
"Yes, in those countries, they think of having those babies as security, but they don't teach them how to provide for themselves and they keep themselves in perpetual hunger because they keep doing the same thing over and over and ... like rabbits." every single study says you are incorrect. Please look at Frasier and Heritage at economic freedom index. it is called the malthusian trap, and the only way to escape is to increase one's level of technology faster than population growth. If the govt keeps you from having technology or fails to protect you developing it, then you are stuck. In the trap, if I have more children, I am more likely to survive. I'm not saying some won't die or that infanticide is not practiced. looking at the overall trend. Your rat example I do not get. surely you are not angling for this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RntxCmqQq...
Yes, in those countries, they think of having those babies as security, but they don't teach them how to provide for themselves and they keep themselves in perpetual hunger because they keep doing the same thing over and over and ... like rabbits... In wealthier countries people have fewer babies, and when a cage is filled with too many rats they stop reproducing and eat one another... A natural equilibrium is maintained. The people who reproduce in excess of their ability to feed themselves must change their security plan or nature will maintain the status quo...
cheerios should be foreign aid. :) "...growth of food cells..." ??? What am I missing? From this article, other than adding a few unusual sources, like bugs and algae, it looks to me as if all it does is make food cubes of various combinations of dehydrated food stuffs...
lol. I cannot believe you and I are going to disagree. The reality is, having children is a social security net and cheap labor. The countries living on the edge of starvation are the countries that tend to have highest birth rates. In wealthier countries, people don't need their children to be their labor and children are not the most effective way of securing survival in old age. Therefore, birth rates are lower. As well, if pursuing wealth is easier, people tend to put off starting families. The areas which most need food in this world are run by despotic governments and the western world's "aid" keeps those govts rich and happy and powerful. Let them eat 3D food
I can see that it does have some advantage, especially when it comes to storage. Yes. This technology must be in the hands of entrepreneurs and not the Gov't. NASA is a government agency... I hope the tech turns out to be more reliable than the 3-D printers I am familiar with. They are extremely tempermental and always breaking down. One question: In the present, the people who need the food the most are not the sharpest tools in the shed since they reproduce better than they farm; so who will have control of the machine and thus the food supply once they become dependent? You see, it could become a ticket, to state-sponsored dependency... We must be ever vigilant.
...got to go for now...
