DeBlasio halts charter schools in NYC

Flexing his Marxist muscles, DeBlasio wants to put the kabosh on charter schools, which had been approved under former NYC mayor Bloomberg. It seems he thinks its unfair that they would share space with existing, underutilized schools. Go figure!

    You are correct. The teachers' unions don't like them, either. Charter schools stray just a bit from the children sausage factories that the mainstream schools are. And, the system can't have that.

    Its all about fighting for the right to operate without measurements. The only way they can sell their public education product is if there is no competition.

    Correct. It's why there is this war on to vilify any child who excels. No competition, because feelings might get hurt! It's very methodically taking away the incentive to achieve.
