    B. and A. if the point of the movie is communicate a dying, smoldering, stifled or suppressed view in this great country of ours, then it is absolutely requisite that You pick John Galt, actors, and actresses, etc;.. according to the point and message of the movie; pick a guy who BELIEVES in the capitalist ideals, b/c You want the acting to ring true; You're doing Yourselves and the rest of the nation who needs to hear the hope that a free market economy and soc. brings, the hope that unmonitored (un-man-handled) individual creativity, design, engineering, business, etc; can bring! You have already lost if You pick an actor/actress who doesn't believe in these principles. You might as well not make the movie; as an example, You never see the face of Hugo Weaving in V for Vendetta, yet the message he communicates is so damn powerful, 7 years later, I'm still listening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture on my Ipod with tears down my face; That's the kind of acting with a message one aims for!

Do with the Second Cast the same thing Ayn Rand would recommend we do to the Obama Administration...

Also I liked the the cast that played Reardon and Dagney Taggart in the 1st movie although I couldn't keep from thinking that Taylor Schilling needs to learn how to walk with high heels on. Jolie would fill the role to a T though.

I think Daniel Crag would be a great John Gault. This must be a film that follows the book and message of Atlas Shrugged! The film will out live us and need to be of interest so as to inform folks of the pitfall of government intervention. It always comes as a cost in the form of taxes and a price of civil liberties.

I would try and get Mark Levin not the lefty but the righty from Patriot Radio and cast him as John Galt. He knows more about liberty vs. tyranny than any man alive today. In fact he could teach the producers of Atlas Shrugged more than they could imagine so let's make him the producer as well.

As for an actor to play John Galt...you have to consider Robert Duvall and Anthony Hopkins. Either would do a fantastic job of filling the role.

    A. I was going to say B but if you get the cast right, you'll get the message right.

    B. Getting the message of Atlas Shrugged right
by adhering to the dialogue as Ayn Rand wrote. Act as if she is directing the film.

As for actor I think Daniel Craig or Ryan Gosling could play Galt. It has to be an actor that can disappear into the role. He can't be someone who is a known bleeding heart liberal because no one would believe him in the role.

    A. I would say keeping the casting the same as Part II... I know that Atlas Productions will do a great job getting the message of Atlas Shrugged correct, find a great director and produce a quality film.

Who should play John Galt? (sigh...) Where is Charlton Hetson when you need him?! Any currently working actors that I can think of are complete light weights compared to him. Not only could he portray the part, he actually LIVED it.

If you guys intend on recasting some of the characters I'd love to see Mathew Goode play John Galt. This actor completely owned his role in "The Watchmen" and would absolutely rock the role of Galt.

Getting the message right. Keep the case from part II. Rearden was the best in part II, too much a wimp in part one. Don't cut Gaul's role in part 3, and don't portray him like the hippie you did in part II

    B. Don't focus too much on politics. Let the philosophy guide the writing and it will appeal to more people. There are certain pieces to Rand's philosophy that I think a vast majority of Americans agree on. Exploit the common ground and focus on the philosophy, then let the viewer come to their own conclusions. As long as they are using logic, the results will be positive.
