Adam Brandon will be on RADIO INTERRUPTED today at 1PM ET. ( http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/posts... )

Adam Brandon (CEO, FreedomWorks): "This is an example of grassroots politics at its best and is a huge victory for the House Freedom Caucus. This is one of the greatest changes that's happened in Washington. The old go along get along ways are over because people realize that kicking the can down the road doesn't work."

Probably true. The thing to pay attention to now is, who takes Boehner's place? If the new Speaker continues to push through legislation that goes along with the President's agenda and block pro-liberty legislation, we will need to repeat the coup. Several times if necessary.

Agreed, although expensive entertainment. Have to resign ourselves to the fact that the less these clowns do, the better off we all are. Don't forget to vote.

Is he leaving before, or after, the vote on the budget? If after, he's still doing damage.

I agree with Zen's initial assessment. An adage I learned a long time ago is that in politics, "What it shows the most, it is the least".

That's worth achieving even if Boehner did skedaddle before he might lose the vote on the motion to vacate the chair.

OK, so we get rid of the current Speaker. He is the very symbol capitulation and two-faced unfulfilled promises. Is this a victory? That is something we won't know until the new Speaker is put in place. If is another member of the old guard, then nothing has been accomplished. So...we shall see what pleasures or horrors await us, right after Halloween.

Not sure it will make a difference with McConnell running the Senate. He is the King of go along to get along.

I agree with you about his replacement! But something that I feel is equally important has been communicated here. Whomever occupies the center chair now knows that he or she can be readily banished to the Outer Darkness should they miss the warning signals from the people.

Also petition drives e.g. if you don't have recall that's major item, or the Honest Campaign and Voting changes. Keep the other side busy fighting good initiatives they won't have time nor money for anything else. just some of the things that can be done.

I doubt I was the only one who sent back GOP snail mail donation requests with nothing but a complaint about Boehner and other spineless RINOs..
Surely I am not the only one who thinks that a displayed lack of asked for money can talk.
I also kept repeating "Speaker Boo-hoo is (whatever I felt like calling the presidebt)'s favorite RINO water boy" to my representatives in Congress.

I'll wait to see Boehner's replacement before I celebrate.

I have always suspected Boehner was subject to blackmail somewhere along the line. I tend to agree with Brandon: Boehner skipped town because he knew he wouldn't have the votes to sustain him in the chair.

Being part of the dump Boner action should help with McConnell the next target and some guy named Peter King in New York. More pressures assuredly more RINOS will try for or get those leadership positions. One target at a time.

To broaden that do not give money, time, or material to the candidates of the left i.e. Government Party. Following other suggestions look around for instances of public office by appointment to fill out terms and similar - have people ready to volunteer for those positions. Think in terms of your voting precinct and wheree possible pare them away one by one.

    Apropos of nothing really.

I don't know what this says about me, but I miss Yogi far more than I'll ever miss John Boehner.

I think the RINOs are just making Boehner the scapegoat. They are trying to convince the grassroots they are paying attention. I think it's a distraction.

I'm not so sure the 'old' ways are gone. I suspect they're just taking a little breather before coming back in full force. Money and power are very seductive to the types of people that want to be politicians.

Give back all the political donations and do not become a lobbyist or employee of his biggest contributors. Refuse the congressional pension in favor of social security.

Great timing having Brandon on today. I heard about the House Freedom Caucus. My Rep is a member. I heard they were flying low until they had enough members to make a difference. Excellent and bold move.
