This guy makes some very good points about the advantages and things that could be done with cypto-currencies like Bitcoin. For instance, wire transfer and eliminating debit card fees for businesses.

I also like it for those who hate the job US Fed Reserve is doing. They can use other currencies. If the USD is so bad, people will vote with their feet and start using other currencies. I think USD does a great job, but we should be open to competition.

Crypto-currencies would be a real boon to all concerned. I buddies at NSA are already working on ways to crack the asymmetric cryptography cryptograms using quantoum computers.
