    Anyone who has ever been involved in dangerous situations can tell you that it's easy to issue orders from a place of safety; risking the merits and wisdom of those orders at the point of attack is a different matter all together.

    Just as a point of discussion, should that apply to juries in criminal trials, as well, especially in capital cases? Hundreds have been released from prison after being wrongfully convicted, yet the people who damaged (or destroyed) their lives go on without tangible consequences. Perhaps they should be imprisoned for as long as the accused was.

    Once the accused is executed, as far as I know, no state allows the case to be re-opened. Given Thomas Sowell's opinion on this topic, the logical consequence would be to execute the jurors.
