Part II: The Heritage of 1776

Good Morning Everybody:

OK, here's Part II, ran in the Wyoming Tribune Eagle originally, but - again - posted here from Parcbench because they let me run graphics with the articles.

This is the follow-up piece to Part I, from last year, as a tribute to the magnificent accomplishments of the Founding Fathers.

Were they perfect? No, not by any stretch of the imagination... BUT, warts and all, what they accomplished was nothing short of astounding, and we - even today, centuries later - continue to reap the benefits of those accomplishments.

It remains for US to complete the work they started. It bears remembering that "experiments," whether in a physics laboratory or in society, should be evaluated after the experiment has been performed, in order to analyze the results and propose new experiments and courses of action based on the new data.

OUR society has been awaiting such an analysis for many, many decades since now, and - unless we perform that task - I fear for the continued existence of the American Republic...

With Love,
Brad Harrington

    Hi Zenphamy:

Thanks. I appreciate your comment. In answer to your question, my guess would be, LOTS, based on polls and voting records.

Well said and well meant. I wonder how many have failed or not taken the opportunity to read the Declaration and the promise in it for free men.
