hahaha. lol. I'm supposed to care why? Oh, that's right...for whenever I want to jump over to their side for safety, security, better economic opportunities, etc.

Yeah, I guess the fence should be lowered for escaping Americans.

This is indicative of the whole decrepit state of morality. To even contemplate and put out such an idea is sheer insanity. This just shows how low the social structure has fallen to where they say this tripe. Whats next, people are KILLING people who just want to steal their stuff or rape their family? Insanity..just damn insanity...

Should build it higher! Better yet, re-initiate immigration quotas. Reopen Ellis Island!

Even better, also put in mine fields, snipers and armed patrols. Our vets could do that job.

I'm not really into shooting people unless to defend; however, something has to be done to stop the first crossing. I'm afraid it will take violence to stop the influx. The major problem would be could one look down the barrel at a child. Unless that child was armed and look to shoot I could not shoot so how to solve the real problem.

Are you kidding? Do you know what that would lead to? Reparations, apologies, and amnesties. USA is broke enough as it is. I wouldn't mind if the target was corporations like Tyson's though. If people wouldn't hire illegals there would be no illegals. How many of them have been sent ot chop lettuce on the prison farms.

Don't drag us presenting and former active duty military types in on that. Sounds like a job for the State Militia. Posse Comitatus works two ways.

I had it explained to me as the GF and I were discussing a closer legal relationship. By a State Department employee. First you get hitched in Mexico. Then you do adoptions in Mexico and/or have children which doesn't apply here. Then you get them Mexican Passports one each and present that with your own to the consulate. Once you get on the list ....there is US adoption proceedings and another laundry list and $$$$$.

I asked the GF what for? I can't afford to live in the USA anymore and you couldn't afford to pay the huge tax increase. To what advantage? What gain?

So now we are concentrating on education through University level for the skilled requirement and getting passports and sponsorship for the two eldest. The passports are a reward for graduating. One's computer engineer and the other is in Chef's school which down here leads to a Bachelor equivalent called Licenciado.

With a passport and a visa they can go back and forth and see things first hand.

solution to illegal immigratoin: 1) issue work cards to anyone wanting to come here to work that do not grant civilization or freebie government benefits or minimum wage and other workplace regulations not specifically agreed to by the business owners.

    2) Do not grant citizenship to anyone who is simply born here but doesnt have parents who are citizens

I like these ideas. The only downside is that if we do not have the hard-working Mexican illegals to pick our strawberries, perhaps we can figure a clever plan for people who are on welfare to pick them. We have people who 'need' to work (at least, from my perspective) and we have work to be done...they should be introduced to each other.

(Not that this would happen the way things are currently, but it is a thought.)

More realistic solution for the strawberry picking issue is automation. Specialized machines to look at the color of the strawberry and gently pick it. Robots are getting smarter by the minute with all the new sensors available. Its getting down to the hobbyist level already

True, but not my point: My point is that, right now, manual labor is still cost effective and we have a lot of people on welfare that could be doing this. If our society prohibits our requiring people on welfare to work, then allowing unskilled Mexican laborers to enter the US is to our benefit. (I looked up automated strawberry pickers yesterday as a result of researching automation's effect on the Civil War and manual labor is still better.)

I agree that business people will pick the method of production that is least expensive and still legal. I think we should let anyone who wants to work come here under a work card. I also would just stop welfare period. Its creating a class of lazy people.

This article is like wine, it makes you laugh and then it makes you sad. What do I mean by that? Well, humanism is the name given now to altruism, and humanism is the claim behind allowing illegals (who do happen to be unspeakably poor) to cross into the US and pursue work to survive. It sounds almost "inhuman" not to do all we can for these starving, sick "economic refugees". What if you were in their shoes? The proponents ask. And THAT is altruism. That those who have more give to those who have less in order to make the needier lives incrementally less miserable. Why not! Why not? The trader principle for one, the right to property another, and the right to life as a primary. The US cannot guarantee ANYTHING to ANYONE other than RIGHTS to its CITIZENS. If it does more, as is the case now, it bankrupts itself, both economically and morally. If it does less, as is also the case now, it bankrupts itself, both culturally and morally. The rules of reality cannot change to meet the altruists' creed. A is A. Money created out of thin air to meet this humanist "obligation" is financed by American taxpayers. And no, it is not a consistent argument to say, well, Mexican-Americans pay taxes too. That is a racist argument, and those who propel it should be identified as the worst sort of collectivists.

Is there no end to this? OK, stupid I can understand. Crazy even, I can understand. But this is stupid crazy on steroids. Hey idiots, the point of a fence is to keep them out. If they hurt themselves while breaking the law -- GOOD!

This is an example of situational ethics which is a lot like a hookers "negotiable virtue". When your moral compass has been "degaussed" all bets are off.

what if the fence builders topped of the fence with razor wire like they have at prisons. then nobody will try to climb the fence and break bones landing on the US side. aklso they will not necessarily have to build the fence as high. so we have a savings in fence material as well as medical costs.

Simple they can't afford it. The fence building only occurs near places that can be easily seen. Even so to do the fence near Nogales I heard was one million a mile. After looking I believed it. But it only goes for a few miles. We'd be money ahead having people sign up for Bracero or the skilled the Green Card Program and buying their Mexican passports for them. The reason they go the coyote route is it's affordable and passports aren't. Never mind bribes it's th base price. Then go after the employers who use illegal labor to artificially manipulate and depress wages in the US.And the unions tat allow it to happen without a peep.

America has, and will continue to be, the pressure relief valve for Mexico. Without the open border Mexico would have exploded long ago. That's our role. I may not like it. But, I have no say in it.

On the other hand, letting mexican workers enter and work here has delayed automation. The mexican workers are more productive per $$ than the entitled american workers. thus keeping it cheaper to use more labor than to automate ever more complex work. The chinese have also delayed automation. Put in $15 per hour minimum wage and automation is going to accelerate big time as more and more jobs are taken by automation costing less than the $15/hour. This IS the time to start learning and working in automation design and servicing

I have employed Latinos to do various jobs, and found this to be true. They are hard workers, and willing to work in the sun on a hot day doing manual labor...for reasonable prices. (I throw in cold beer at the end of the day, and have had some interesting conversations in Spanglish. I keep a pack of Corona on had for this purpose - not myself a beer drinker.)

I have found that if I respect the Latinos and treat them as I would anyone else, they really appreciate it and will bend over backwards for me. The americans tend to feel entitled like they deserve everything. As a result, I dont hire americans anymore, especially members of the entitled black culture borne out of government coddling.

As long as they are legal and you're not undercutting your competition because you're paying them sub-market wages (avoiding taxes and benefits) then you're a-ok in my book. I've lost too many bids to people using illegals and coming in so low on labor I couldn't compete.

Why do you feel this way? Is it out of an obligation to your country? Fear of prosecution? Taxes and benefits are just tools of the government to control you. I'm not advocating breaking the law. I'm just curious of your thoughts on this.

I have a very long list of things that happened to me and everyone i know by the actions of illegal aliens. Some things minor and some things major.

I owned an IT consulting company that went under. I'm not saying going under was directly related to illegal aliens. I did lose more than a few bids for work because labor costs were far below what I was able to quote.

I understand. Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear that.

It reminds me of something in Fransisco's money speech....when you have to as permission to produce from men who produce nothing...when they pass laws to protect them from you... I'm guessing on the exact words there.

That must be why after the economic crash of the US in 2008 Mexicans were sending money north to their relatives. The border is in fact open by the choice of los gringos who have not the capacity to defend their own nation. But much of the border business is media propaganda such as the dangers of living in Mexico.

If it's such a big deal how come companies like Tysons get away with hiring illegals? Simple they set up $100,000 donations to the right politicians. Why not? the politicians own the justice department there's no danger in taking bribes and you still get votes into office.

USM has nothing in the way of corruption to match to match the USA

In Phoenix Arapio cracks down on illegal aliens in the workplace. He's been under constant threat from the fedgov for profiling and pro-illegal alien support groups for discrimination. Today Arapio has to tolerate a federal observer appointed by the court because they ruled he's racially profiling.

Those trying to "do" are being silenced. Mexico is actively promoting the violation of American sovereignty.

I can't disagree with you. But, this is the first I heard of Mexicans sending money north. That's interesting.

The border seems to be just an illusion, set in place for political games and nothing more.

First of all. fence could not get any lower for those going south. I live in fear of that day.

Second on the boo hoo medical issue when the US made it impossible to bring children up to LA to Shriners for treatment treating them like terrorists the doctors from up north started coming south. In my adopted family we have one with Cerebral Palsy and cleft palate. Three trips back and forth and each took a year of savings. for the family until I showed up and bought the bus tickets. Now we take the child up to the main city in this state and the doctors triage as much as they can do. But that women could have availed herself of the same opportunity.

Third. Medicines and treatment is not all that expensive in Mexico except for major surgeries. Often the rates even for gringos are less than what we would pay for insurance in obamaland. The cost of a bus ticket to southern Mexico where she resides or visits might very well have been less than the medical costs and going without the child showed a distinct lack of interest.Local groups like Rotary often help out when needed.

Fourth - Was she arrested for unsafe jumping?

That newspaper is a mouthpiece for La Raza by the way. An attempt to get some kind of last minute whatever out of Obeyme

A fence built to prevent sneaky entry of foreigners is supposed to be high enough to prevent most break-in attempts. That's the whole point.
But then again, it goes without saying, Now, about that paper from which the whinning originates, a little peak inside the basement might be interesting...

After finally buying that pocket pistol I've been mentioning for 3 months today, I heard that fence being too high nonsense laughed at on talk radio while I half-snoozed as my son drive me back to the other side of Birmingham. Then the conversion took a more serious turn about an illegal who murdered a woman in San Fran PC Sicko. I heard the words, "Trump was right."

Remember the Mexican bank bail out under Clinton back in the 90's? My suggestion was yes, we'll bail out your peso, but we'll annex Baja, Sonora, or Chihuahua in exchange. 21st Century Gadsden Purchase. Lots of mineral wealth.

That was in the bankers interest. Ruben the SecTreas fixed up a bail out using Social Security excess funds and RR retirment trust funds. Full well knowing Goldman Sachs was on the hook fo 40%. of the total. Sec Treas Ruben at that time was on loan to the Government from none other than Goldman Sachs. No Blind Trust, no appearance of impropriety, no recuse, no investigation, so Rubens beomes a multi gazillionaire by engineering the perfect crime. Meaning he got away with it.
