Does he also think black people are afflicted with the Curse of Ham?

Haha, I can sing but my voice isn't strong enough to front a band, I don't have the X factor in that regard :) I do occasional BVs on Meander Lane songs but leave the crooning to Glenn. He's a natural. I wouldn't have said either of us have got much of an accent to lose when it comes to singing. We've both got what we'd consider to be average southern English accents, leaning toward Cockney on occasions (I was born in Croyden, the south end of London) but that's usually determined by the quantity of Scotch consumed when in the studio - not that I drink to excess of course. ;]

All in good time... Tell me do you sing? Does your accent disappear when singing? (I know, to you I have the accent:)) Anyway if you weren't so far away I would call you for some paint work for sure...
    Best wishes,
    O.A.

Hello O.A. Yes, regarding Farage & Monckton, I couldn't agree more - although Monckton was sacked from UKIP three years ago. It's a shame to say, hell will likely freeze over before UKIP wins the day. Stroll on hell freezing over, I'll help if I can. Not spending as much time as I'd like on the music to be honest, it doesn't pay the bills... yet ;]

The correct way to defend oneself? Hit the cudgel wielding, bile spitting horde with cold, hard, logical facts. Mind you, they only hear what they want to hear, so it's a lot like throwing pearls before swine.

Sounds to me like a Trojan Horse. Wouldn't be surprised if the Mirror put him up to it, or even if someone in Labour paid him to join UKIP and be his usual self. He'd not even know where the money came from.

You always know when someone like Herman Cain, or the Tea Party, or UKIP comes along, there will be baseless accusations. US Conservative blacks always get hit with sex-scandal stories. The Tea Party is accused of racism and violence. The UKIP finds it's painted as religious nutters.

What is the correct way to defend oneself against ridicule or against an "Alinsky" attack?

    Hello JossAmbrose,
Good to hear from you. Yes. You need more Nigel Farages and Lord Monktons. We don't even have them. Glad to hear the music gig is going well. :)
    Regards,
    O.A.

Just got in from work & viewed the link. That's good news he's been suspended. The last thing we Brits need is one of the only remaining bastions of common sense being ridiculed.

    No problem, RMP.
Check out the article posted by OA.

The UKIP leadership had never heard of this guy.

No doubt he is preparing for the Thames to run red next... Like Eudaimonia has postulated, these people are given a stage for advancing another agenda... Fortunately the UKIP was quoted in the article stating the opinion was the councillors and were "not the party's belief"... Update: It looks as if the UKIP has suspended the councillor. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25802437

    Thanks for posting this, OA.

Notice how the BBC gets in its shots in their report?

UKIP has them crapping their pants.

I really, really wish we had a Nigel Farage here.
Even our best - Cruz, Lee, Paul - won't call our DC bastards "Marxists", "Communists", and "Soviets".
Farage calls the EU bastards all of these things, and to their faces.

Thanks for clearing that up Eduaimonia. I had thought the UKIP was a reasoned group, but when I saw this I thought I must have been incorrect. Now it makes sense.

The UK Daily Mirror is a left wing rag.

UKIP, The British version of the US Tea Party, in on the ascension in the UK, and it has the Left there crapping its pants.

Just like in the US, any way a leftist rag can pull an Alinsky on its opposition, it will.

A "councillor" is a local official, not a member of Parliament, and certainly not the party Leadership.

    Here's the real story:
Some local bureaucrat leaves the Tories over the Tories' support of Gay Marriage
As a way to tell the Tories to "Piss Off", he joins UKIP.
He then spouts off something which the Labour Party finds offensive.
The UK Daily Mirror jumps on it and tries to smear all of UKIP with the association.

    Typical.
