Some gay marriage opponents balk, while couples rush to wed

So, as I read these articles on this, I am asking myself how this fits into an Objectivist view? Aside from the fact I believe that the SC had no constituional leg to rule on this, other than possibly something related to a particular guaranteed freedom, is it an Objectivist value that individuals have the right to marry whoever they want as long as it is not forced upon anyone, or yourself? As long as I am not forced to approve or disapprove of it, or get involved in it, is it valid to let others do as they see fit, and is the argument that it violates others religious views even valid? I don't see how that is true, as long as a religious person is not forced to witness, participate or endorse or support it.
