Levin is right. It is nothing less than tyranny. Just how brazen must it become before congress acts. I hear only a handful of congressman speaking up. Will others hear them?

Why would Congress act to put a stop to this. The Democrats are in control of the Senate and they support him. Yes the Republicans are in control of the House but without control of both houses Congress cannot do much. Additionally, the republicans in both houses are mostly so weak willed that they are of no matter and the few Republicans that are willing to stand for what is right are laughed out of the room and considered fools.

I just keep thinking of the words of Jefferson God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.

(WIth a tip to Ol' Jim Croce...)

Like a congressman signing another law,
    I got a pen, I got a pen
Tho I’m the best that anybody’s saw
    I got a pen, I got a pen
And I carry it with me just in case I can
Make me a law, any law I choose

    Signin’ executive orders
    Signin’ executive orders
Signin’ them orders so laws don’t pass me by

Like a cold day coming here straight from hell
I run the show, I run the show
Like Napoleon’s troops and ol’ Lenin’s Yell
I run the show, I run the show
I make decisions, and I force them through
Do I have limits? None that I knew

    Signin’ executive orders
    Signin’ executive orders
Signin’ them orders so laws don’t pass me by

    ‘Cuz I can’t let freedom be…

Like the fool you are for believing me,
I live my dream, I live my dream
You can vote me out, but I just won’t leave,
I live my dream, I live my dream,
I’ll just burn the constitution, and you just won’t care
    Right after I grow Obamacare

    Signin’ executive orders
    Signin’ executive orders
Signin’ them orders so laws don’t pass me by

I for one don't think it's quite as quiet as Levin assumes. Their is a major epidemic of deafness spread throughout the Nation, but 2013 has certainly been a loud wake-up call to many.

I'm not sure I would call it very quiet. He's announcing it to the world. And the lapdog dems just go right along (as well as the lapdog repubs like Boehner and McConnell).

This will not be as outrageous or as disturbing to many people as we might think, or as it should.

Remember, we have 2 generations now raised on the notion that the rules are subject to will.
    Thank you tv and movies.

Most of the entitlement class will view this favorably, as a needful circumvention of an "obstructionist" Congress. And they won't think beyond that.

The best part about ExOs is they can be negated by the next executive. Czars can be fired by the next executive. Runaway agencies like EPA can be reined in with a phone call. Most of what this wide eyed child has done can be fixed in a long weekend. Health care? It's been passed by both sides of Congress, signed into law by the executive branch, and judged by the Supreme Court to be Constitutional. That will take more to unwind. That will take the inverse of the government we had in 2008-2010. Even if the progressives control only one branch of government ObamaCare will remain part of our laws.

Who does Obama work for? He came out of nowhere and with no accomplishments became president. He was propped up and supported by the same people who control the media, our economy, and all aspects of our lives.
The representative form of government has failed. America was a melting pot; now it is a boiling pot and the scum has risen to the top. A small group of evil people are in control of most of our economy.
John Galt's machine would make it possible for an Off-Grid community to exist. Indeed, in the event of economic collapse, it will be necessary to be self sustaining. An independent source of energy will be needed.
I spent about 4 years as a young Mechanical Engineer (1973-1976) attempting to design machine like John Galt's. Of course such a machine defies the second law of thermodynamics which has never been disproven, although many men have tried.
Presently, nearly everyone receives their power from the Grid. And, almost the entirety of the renewable energy industry is devoted to designing energy systems that feed into the Grid.
I have designed a Combined Heat and Power Concentrating Photovoltaic Collector specifically for Off-Grid applications. Unlike John Galt's machine, it does not violate the laws of thermodynamics. It will economically provide all of the energy and water requirements for an Off-Grid Home or Community. Except for the cloak, I can help new "Galt's Gulches" with independent energy and water supplies..
Leave Wall Street to the liberals. Let us occupy the land.
The Sun distributes its energy already. Why concentrate it into a grid for subsequent redistribution.

At this point, even if the Senate reverts to Republican control, the legislative branch can be disregarded. Acting completely by executive order, the Federal Agencies have to follow what the President says are their duties, unless the Federal judiciary says such orders are unconstitutional.

Even if a Congress acts to cut funding for enacting executive orders, the President can veto such acts. This is headed toward a real constitutional crisis. Unless enough Democrats are willing to join Republicans to overrule Presidential veto, unconstitutional executive orders will have the resources to be carried out, and even if Federal courts rule such orders to be unconstitutional, those orders will be carried out while such rulings work their way through the judicial system.

In the end, soft tyranny may rest in the hands of any courage left in the hearts of unelected Federal bureaucrats. If enough of those officials are willing to resist an imperial President, and refuse to carry out what they feel are unlawful acts, the republic may be saved. If, however, those officials regard risking their careers of more concern than protecting the people they have sworn to protect, tyranny will hold sway.

Until this government soap opera plays itself out, any attempt to use force by a citizen militia will feed the paranoia that enables a would be dictator. Only if the Federal government, both elected and unelected, is seen to be ineffectual or at war with itself in stopping a lawless President, will the stage be set for a new revolution.

The difference between the U.S.A. and Egypt (or France, for that matter) is that we believe in the structure of the republic the Founders created as the model for how a nation can remain strong in support of its principles without violent change. The call for use of force to carry out change must first come from an out of control Executive (as in the case of HM George III) in order to validate justifiable force by the citizenry.

If BO picksup on this and I disapper, please continue until we have our country back. A true Patriot. Paul "Kal" Kalmanek HO: 760-610-2801 or C: 760-774-9545

I guess the people of this country are too busy to notice. What will be the wake up call that finally gets them to take note of what is happening?

Wait til the economy collapses due to government mismanagement and high tax rates. That will get everyone's attention. The problem will be: how many looters will survive the crisis? Enough to continue to vote the looter-leaders like those currently in power into office?

The problem is that those who are in power refuse to balance our checkbook and insist on writing checks we have no ability to cash. The Democrats are spending like there is no tomorrow because they know there is no tomorrow! The Republicans are too fractured as a party to object, led by leaders like Boehner and O'Connell who are too feckless to put together an organized resistance.

That is the thing, the DNC NEVER fractures. There has to be a bridge between the GOP and TP or a way for the TP to function inside the GOP. Boener's efforts to cut off the TP is a grave mistake.... likewise sepreatisits only serve to advance the statists. There must be unity between evyone that opposes this regime, fight over the finer points after defeating the larger advisary.

What has actually happened in the last 10-15 years is that the so-called "blue-dog" Democrats (fiscally conservative, socially liberal) have disappeared and given way to the progressive liberals because those are the only Democrats the DNC will fund for election. So what you have is a left which has gone far left while the Republican party is fragmenting - a collage of everyone from the Rand Paul's and Mike Lee's to the John Boehner's and John McCain's. Where the Democratic Party used to have a range of whom some could be negotiated with, now there is no one. Obama's no-negotiation policy is simply a realization of this. If the Republicans would galvanize themselves instead of caving every time, we'd be much better off because it would force a compromise. But every time they cave it reinforces the no-negotiation paradigm.

I agree that cutting off the TEA Party is a really bad idea. You get voted in by people who are passionate about ideals and you have to provide a contrast to your opponent. The past couple of Republican Presidential candidates (while ultimately preferable to the tyrant in office now) could not sufficiently differentiate themselves and so lost not only their core vote, but the independents as well.

I think one of the other things that amazes me is just how electorally feckless the Republicans are come election time. They seem to concentrate around inarticulate candidates or despised incumbents.

I thnik the non-negotiation tactic is the realization of overwhelming media bias. If a child can punch their sibling in the stomach and then successfully claim the sibling instead punched the child what is the result? An adult sociopath unless the sibling takes action on their own realizing the parent relationship has failed.

There is no question that there is significant main-stream media bias in reporting. Alternative media outlets are beginning to gain a strong foothold, but I estimate that it will be another 20 years before they can seriously contend with CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC for viewership, although The Blaze is certainly making significant headway.

I would caution, however, against blaming everything on the media. Recent polls have shown that the majority of Americans are aware of the bias in the media and that as a result, viewership is down. Newspapers, especially are seeing subscriptions tank in droves as people flock to blogs. Yet despite this, Democrats continue to win elections. I think the bigger reason is more and more indentured servants, ie welfare recipients, with just enough voter fraud in key districts to tilt the outcomes (see the 2008 elections for examples).

"It’s gradual. It’s quiet, in the sense that it’s non-violent. But it’s a coup!". Non-Violent? Mark Levin should try saying no and backing that up to one of those executive orders. I'm guessing that would bring on some violence...

Ignore the House, blocked by the Senate, claim inaction, and swoop in. It is all by design. Truth is stranger than fiction.
