Is this just another Executive order to be used to trap 'domestic terrorists' or a tempest in a teapot?

What's next? If this isn't government out of control, then what is? Or could it just be a undercover tactic to try to bring Colt out of bankruptcy?

I sure hope it ain't law yet: In any event I'm taking my new Springfield .308 M-14 over to my sons in Eastern Washington to zero in the scope tomorrow. It is still almost free range over there and I'm not talking about chickens. My wife also needs to zero in the laser on her new Sig P238 Rainbow. I got her this for backup when her Sig P226 Navy just isn't appropriate, for instance when we go to a more formal function or go dancing where a lighter load will be a little more appropriate. We're going over for my grandsons HS Graduation party his parents are throwing for him. I got him a beautiful classic Winchester 30-30 Model 94, like he's had a hankerin' for.

Okay, now I'm grandfathered against the new law should it ever pass. I suggest everyone else do the same.

There is a flip side to the gun control insanity... It would be my strong opinion that the more the "control" lunatics attack the 2nd Amendment, it actually is rallying broader awareness and support for the NEED of the 2nd Amendment to remain unchanged. ...As witnessed by my commenting on its fundamental importance, 5 years ago I would not have even paid attention, and now I am assessing which ammo is most appropriate to keep on hand. The 2nd was designed to protect ourselves from the evils of government, not our neighbors, and we must defend that right vengefully!

Oh, there is a difference in legal treatment of His Holy speech, and your (evil domestic terrorist) speech. Its similar to the beliefs of the 17th century church compared to the scientific logic of Galileo.

How dare his majesty should even think about stifling my right to free speech pertaining to any damn thing.
As much as Ovomit Breath moves his lying lips, you'd think he would not want to touch free speech with a pole ten trillion miles long.

The government knows the new additive factories we call "3D Printers" can make everyone his own gunsmith. And that terrifies them.

LMAO. First the leftists declassify all the good stuff such as was used to make the Oklahoma City Bomb. then the Chief Executives give away the technology and now they want to close the barn door after the meat has been barbecued?

    It's called shifting the blame.

Why not use attacking the second amendment for a reason to attack the first?

It's all part of his attack on the second amendment - remember his promise that he would use any tool he could find to end gun ownership and possession in the USA. Why not kill 2 amendments with one stone - and use "those evil terrorists" as an excuse to the sheeple that giving up your rights for security is right, proper, expected, and demanded of you.

My thoughts on this violation of our rights??

I prefer the 45 ACP. Very good defensive round. Relatively effective even using ball ammo. And Glock makes a fine firearm from which to launch said projectiles at those would do damage to or threaten our country or what it stands for.

Imagine if someone chose the task of researching all of the laws already on the books that if enforced would dictate that we never leave the confines of our residences. They in d.c. just won't give up until such as I stated becomes reality.

I wonder if they propose banning how-to videos/discussion, knowing that won't fly, with the real goal of banning sharing plans for printable or otherwise "desktop manufacturable" gun parts. That *shouldn't* fly, but they'll say, "at least we backed down on the ban on how-to discussions."

So - this is not a law yet. Are you asking for people to comment before the 3Aug deadline?
