"Now that was refreshing." (Seems to me that was a line in a movie).

Seriously I forgot how much I used to like Dilbert when I was in the big corporation world. It used to get me through the day. Going Gault was better though.

Scott Adams got most his inspiration from the High_Tek field. I have had every one of his charters as a manager at one time or another (except Dogbert). It seemed like the higher the level of technology the more moronic people were drawn to the place. Unlike moths to a flame they were drawn to the money. Thats what makes his cartoons so popular. People like me know just how true they really are.

    Ha yeah,
before I read you comment I was going to say-
I meet them in life as well as on the net, in fact when I look back on what I have written sometimes .. ..
As for Dilbert, his stuff is so realistic it should not be funny.

Haha! Nice. And Ayn Rand was not one to hold back. In fact, I think she liked appearing extreme, mostly as a writer's technique. But it flows from her philosophy too.

“Integrity is the recognition of the fact that you cannot fake your consciousness, just as honesty is the recognition of the fact that you cannot fake existence—that man is an indivisible entity, an integrated unit of two attributes: of matter and consciousness, and that he may permit no breach between body and mind” (932; P3C7).

Reminds me of this one. Dilbert is interviewing a new programmer, who is speaking and thinking:

My engineering knowledge is current and yours is ancient. - I think I impressed him with my confidence. - Ooh! People skills! I forgot! bonk bonk bonk.
