Paying down the debt is common sense, but totally laughable in our time considering the morons that are in the pockets of the lobbyists and the banksters behind the curtain on crapitol hill.

One would think the responsible thing to do would be to pay down some of that debt with the money. It is more probable that the money will just disappear, probably to fund some pet project of some crony. Solyndra comes to mind.
