these ISIS folks are scary -- kamikaze attacks and
beheadings and all. . and, though intermittent, they
have been among us over here since the 90s. . wow. -- j

Well, they do have one thing in common: both climate change as a danger and ISIS are both religions, and the idiotic, faith-based claims of the former may make it seem to the true believers of the Left as the more dangerous.Especially as the Left rarely recognizes or acknowledges any kind of military danger.

In this case, as another poster has already commented, given where Mr. O gets his "ideas", it is no surprise he would take this ridiculous view.

I agree with you, John. I am a very firm believer in avoiding foreign entanglements, but at the pace and rate ISIS are going, unchecked they will eventually capture nukes and after that the missiles to use them, more than as mere suicidal weapons. Even if they only used them "locally", the world consequences would be Chernobyl multiplied exponentially.

While I do not support another all-out "boots on the ground" war like Irag, it seems to me that we should have the smarts to fight them with superior technology, something beyond and more effective than our current "strategy".

I was just considering the definitions of socialism
(government "ownership" of the means of production)
and fascism (private ownership of the means, with
govt controlling it), without adding in collusion. . yes,
I despise the corruption which gets Immelt at BHO's
side while GE pays no fed taxes. . etc. . we Are Being
Strangled, and I resent it thoroughly as we all do!!! -- j

Neither Eurosocialism nor fascism "command" private enterprise without the collusion of corporate entities. Hitler had the support of Krupp and other like big companies, just as Obama has the support of Google and Warren Buffet. Perversely, most of us in the Gulch share the leftists' disgust of a corrupt financial community that strangles American society in a corrupt partnership with government institutions.

I hope they stay away too. There is mounting evidence Ron Paul was correct when he said if we (the U.S.) would mind its own business and get out of the mid-east, then we would not be the target---they would happily fight each other.

I think that it's a team headed by Valerie Jarrett and
Axelrod and Michelle, with contributions from many
others like Elizabeth Warren and Dick Durbin and
Sheila Jackson Lee and so forth. . . and Al Sharpton.

My son went in the Navy in1987 and I am proud to say had a brilliant career until 2012 when they decided he should be retired, because he was making too much. So he retired with grace, but they rehired him as a consultant at more than his pay was. He just laughs and says the Navy isn't what it used to be... I am not saying he shrugged, but he sure doesn't have the enthousiasm he once did.

Let's see, where does O get his ideas. Well early on Frank Marshall Davis, communist. Then there is the chief string puller, Valerie Jarret, born in Iran. Frequents visitors to the Oval Office are Soros and Kissinger, haters of the US and lovers of one-world government.
Global warming is about control of the whole population, a goal. It has nothing to do with science, even in Obama's tiny mind. ISIS, well, he can barely say anything bad there, he loves Muslims and cannot bring himself to use the word "terrorist", except tor Tea Party members.
Yes, the McCains and their ilk will use terrorism in a fashion to control and distract people into voting for more controls over themselves - for safety, of course. Being facetious, but truthful. Bot parties are infiltrated with those who would take our freedoms from us and discourage free thought, even if it is by pseudo danger alarms.

Unlike Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, who have some grasp of the technical details behind socialism, Obama and Clinton thrash about grabbing at populist straws with no comprehension. If I had to endure European-style socialism, I'd rather have Sanders or Warren in charge.

Did you all ever notice that regardless of party, Washington's chief product is bullshit?
