I guess my question on the Vatican recognizing the Palestinian state would be does the Pope actually think that the Muslims will be any more friendly towards Christians in general or Catholics in particular with this act? Somehow I doubt that it makes anything better for anyone involved.

  I suppose that pope Francis is trying his best to
  calm things down. . it just seems that these efforts,
  and others trying to calm Muslims, tend to go against
  our allies in their toughest times. -- j
