    Read a story this morning about the same thing happening to a comic book store owner in San Francisco. He voted for the increase without even realizing how much it was really going to cost him. Friends of his voted without thinking about what is was going to do to him. Sounds familiar - "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."

    People need to stop living in the world they want and actually live in the world they have! All of those folks like Devin should have seen this coming. Bummer but I am over it already.

    You ain't seen nuthin' yet, Mr. Pizza Delivery Person. As $15 per hour gets fully implemented, businesses will close, prices will rise, service will slow down, tax revenues will dry up, products and services will become harder to find and selection will be less. Hope you all enjoy the $15.

    There's more to this story than meets the eye. The video from "Q13" is not NBC, CBS, Public TV, not even ABC, it's from an affiliate of FOX TV. The others just don't want to cover the story because it just doesn't fit their agenda. Maybe they will cover it when it's impossible to buy pizza anywhere in Seattle. Maybe Michelle Obama, with some of Gates and Bloomberg's money, can get them to completely outlaw pizza in Seattle so the story can't develop.

    Reverse unionism. I love it!

    Still one of my favorite stories was when a guy we had gone to high school with showed up to deliver a pizza. He said to my brother, "Boy, you parents have a nice house". My brother said, "How do you know, you've never seen my parents house. This is my house"

    My favorite pizza shop owner (near my work) had plans eight years ago to build a second store nearer where I live. When the bank bailouts hit, he sold his existing store and shrugged.

    This is what happens when economic illiterates are in charge. If this would work then why not raise it to 50$ per hour and make everyone more prosperous? Silly little socialists, be careful what you wish for.

    One of the reasons I left Washington. However this new law should be welcomed by local 440. When the average local wage for construction flaggers was $7.50 an hour they were getting $23.35 under Davis Bacon. At $15 an hour it'will probably bet more like $50 an hour. Some union contracts are based on minimum wage. All those people losing their jobs and all those prices going up to cover the cost of unions salaries.Maybe someone from back east could buy enough votes to show us how it's done. Boston was a good example.

      Exactly!

      The 15$ minimum wage has pretty close to nothing to do with "helping" fast food workers. It will however result in lots of union folks getting nice fat raises without having to lift a finger..In the meantime my wife will go from making twice minimum wage to exactly minimum wage. Also, no one seems to be interested in talking about what has happened to prices out here since it passed. Rent is up like 150%.. We have reached the point out here where moving to the Chicago area now looks attractive..
