Out of the closet - and what a closet it is!

It did not take much arm twisting, but khalling has evidenced interest in what I do with my spare time. All of these pics were taken some years ago - do not have any recent photos handy (but it is a great shot of Bo, who is now too old to ride).
Edit: apparently I can have only one pic - so the one with Bo in it is the one.

Thank you - it was taken by someone who actually knows how to take pictures: He is a Director of Photography in the movie industry. (He is also a closet Randist.) I was fortunate that Bo was sufficiently photogenic that day to attract his camera - and I went along for the ride.

Thank you. I had fun making armor, but it did bad things to my hands and I have had to stop.

The three labeled Eichling von Amrum show her in the armor she made. The bottom one looks like it was taken at CalTech.

No. I made the plate armor in the link that freedom has, but not the maile.

Good sleuthing! Yes, I am Eichling von Amrum. I made the scalloped spangenharness/anima in the pictures. (Best shot shows me with my tongue sticking out! Awk - how unaesthetic!) I was the co-founder of the swordmaiden website, which we are currently trying to get back on the web again. It had a lot of good advice for women martial artists ...the type who were looking for roads to success, not looking for excuses to fail.

I did not make my hauberk of maile. It is welded titanium and was made by a man in Arizona. It is not quite bullet proof (stopped a 9mm shot at ~10' with one ring taken out and the bullet on the top of the bark of the stump...).

    JLC:
Great photo of you and your horse!
Did you make the suit you are wearing?
    More photos of your work?
    Thanks for sharing.

If the pic you saw when you posted this comment was not me on a horse, then I have - for the nonce - replaced that pic with a different one.
