I believe this publication, The Conversation' originates from my neck of the woods, Australia; just as well I do not have any sense of shame! The lefty political class bias is explained by the restriction on contributors being academics. There is a big amount of government money in it, much is indirect from universities most of which here are state owned. The article itself (with at least one spelling mistake!) shows none of the rigor that we used to think would be a product of academia.

It simply proves one of the maxims about business: it's easy to speak about anything in which you don't know or understand little about.

"A scorn toward and demonization of any simple caring of other human beings".
No one who has read anything by Rand could possibly make such a stupid statement.
