The ATA claims to represent the "trucking industry." Looks more like a gang of Atlas Shrugged looters to me.

Another case of misplaced blame. It isn't speed specifically that causes accidents. It's not adjusting the speed to the conditions.

What all these control freaks forget about is that every now and then, someone is in a situation where they would say:
I don't care what the speed limit is, in order to avoid a serious accident I need to accelerate *now*.
