The Papa Possum blog now using Facebook for comments.

I've been upgrading the Papa Possum blog site for the past few days. The standard method of providing the ability to comment was just not cutting it. So I removed it and wired in a Facebook commenting widget. So, if you have use Facebook, stop by the Papa Possum blog, find a piece you like or not, and sound off.

    I'm not sure what page you mean.

    If you mean a Facebook page, each Papa Possum piece now has buttons to tweet, fb like, and fb share.
    There is also a place to FB comment which gives you the option to post the comment to your FB page as well as the Papa Possum page.

    look to exposure rather than comments. I know this from experience. Do you tweet every new post? if so, re-tweet in a spurt like 3 times over 5 days. people have got to be hammered with it.

    It's funny you should say that.

    I've been wondering why my blog isn't getting more exposure and comments.
    I see four possibilities.

    1) The content is crap
    2) The comment widget was not user friendly
    3) Social network forwarding was non-obvious
    4) We live in a police state where people will nod in agreement but not much more.

    I try to address 1 constantly.
    The recent changes I've made to the site address 2 & 3.
    There's nothing I can do about 4 other than work harder on 1.

    I have a feeling though, Wonky, you're not alone.
