Always blame the white man because for some reason I can NOT understand, the white man will accept the guilt and pay penance.
At least the liberals will see to it that the white producers will pay.

Rich, I think that was the Drill for 2002-20008 which resaulted in a huge number of loans made to such, who never paid them back, and resulted in the greedy bankers packaging them up into "sub-prime" units that were great investments. Then we had to bail out all the Banks Too Big To Fail. Only it was Barney Frank who "invented" the idea then. Made FHA and others make loans that did not meet any kind of min std, because we had to "be fair". SC just wants to emulate Barney I guess....didn't learn enough the first time.

All of whitey's advantages come from growing up in a cold climate while darker races evolved in warmer less challenging climates. Of course whitey achieved more because it was harder for him.
Always blame white men for everythng because they have never invented anything.

Many have tried. Community organizations, local S and L's. But the Feds have come in and made the system non-profitable. If you're loaning money to welfare recipients, you're throwing it down a hole.

It's not owning a home that lifts a person up, it's the hard work to earn and buy it that gives the benefit.

As I read this I saw an opportunity. If people of color are being denied loans simply on the basis of race why wouldn't someone capitalize on this? If these loans are money makers I find it hard to believe that no lending institution would tap into it. I think a lot of tangent factors were left out

From the article: "Government created the white middle class in the 1950s; now it’s time to create a black and Latino middle class." Collectivist definition: You didn't build this.

The vast middle class growth of the 50's was the result of a huge work effort by ex-GI's that came home with a 'we can do this' attitude learned in the war. The government had very little to do with those gains and to a large extent, stayed out of the way.
