Very intresting piece that is true. I live plunk in the middle of the Willamette Valley and wineries have multiplied like bacteria here. I drove down a back road that used to be farmland a few years ago and there were 17 "small" wineries. It drives up land prices, but does not connect to house prices, even oon acreage. So, if you live in California, you may want to start early, there are no deals left up here. And it only will get worse...

If global warming is a bust and regional cooling is a reality, then the exodus will be out of the wet, freezing northwest and with changes in weather patterns the drought may turn into a blizzard. The entire article is based on assumption of global warming as truth.
Deals in Portland? Not with that idiotic liberal local government restricting land uses and driving prices through the roof.
OTOH, it should suit nothern californians fine, especially those from the rainy foggy parts of the Bay area. Not the coastal southern californians who see about 2 weeks of rainy cool winter. More likely a migration to Hawaii from SoCal.

  We have had the GW debate here several times, I refuse to go either way. I did like the video that was posted that the AR Institute did regarding it, the point of just what is "climate" is very valid. But, especially with the noodle heads in CA, just tell them something is bad and they run for the doors, rather than confront it constructively. I still have not figured out why they have ignored the Pacific Ocean, when there are several very promising desalination designs available.Some idiot probably outlawed it in some sneaky legislation...but they have alternatives beyond coming here with their dumb-ass ideas. We have our own dumb-asses, don't need more...
